It's so sadly to say that this ihop is horrible! The service is bad and it seems that nobody cares because when I tried to let management know about the situation she was very upset and defensive herself. We tried to give it another chance but obviously not going back ever again to this one. The waiter barely went to see if we needed something and when we asked he seemed upset and annoyed. He wouldn't respond and just threw the things we needed like utensils at our table. I was very upset because it was a family gathering on the last day of the year and the service there made our time together so uncomfortable. I wanted to leave but my husband kept trying and being nice to him and asking for what we needed kindly but his attitude never changed. I just didn't want to speak to him anymore for the rest of my time there. This was not the first time we went through this but we decided to give it more opportunities. Unfortunately nothing changed. We had already had a situation with another waiter there before this one. He was literally the ONLY employee in the restaurant, it was already past rush hour but it was strange that there was no one else. So we were trying to make conversation with him and we innocently asked are there other employees working or is it only you? and he was so rude and responded very upset ,"Why?? you didn't like my service or what??" We didn't expect that attitude and response since it was just a question to make conversation. Bought the NY cheese cake pancakes, drier than the Sahara, did come with the strawberries but with barely any strawberry syrup. The French toast had a very chewy texture too, didn't eat any of them. Had ordered the syrup caddy since it was an option, turned out that meant that my order would have some "extra" syrup. Asked the staff they spoke Spanish thinking I didn't know what they were saying and they said "hay si ya le di un monton" with a demeaning tone. I told them that I thought that the extra charge was for an actual syrup caddy and they said it was just for extra syrup which I'm pretty sure I could get as many as I wanted for free. Anyway I'm glad I had asked because they initially only gave me 4 syrups for 3 orders of pancakes and two French toast. However, I didn't check that they only gave me 3 butters. So save your money if you want to dine in go for it but honestly the food is pretty meh.
