Born and raised in Brownsville, live in Houston now, the only thing I want to do when I come down to the valley is eat me some good tacos and get the friendly smile and atmosphere that I rememberā¦. Wellā¦.I came here by accident, I was looking for another taco place but decided to order anyways. I was very disappointed that they didnāt even greet me and the attitude of the girl at the front ( Sophia, name on the receipt) was non friendly at all. Asking questions about how they did their orders or add ons was like a bother. I ordered anyways. Once I came back in to get my order I stood in front and had to ask her if the bag on the counter was my order which she just shook her head , didnāt even get a thank you.
The atmosphere was very eh. No music, no smiles. If you walk in there, expect to not be acknowledged.
I walk next-door to the snow one place next to ask about the other tacos and saw at the corner of my eye, the original place I was looking for⦠(Tacos Plaza) Completely different attitude. Got greeted by the man taking the orders was very polite. We had a long conversation about food places we visited. Iāll be putting a great review for them.
Bottom line donāt waste your time or money...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTacos are different from the usual places but they are SOOO GOOD. recommend them all. Yum yum. Get take out for work, you have to pay over the phone in order for them to make the food and then ask for a tip over the phone. I like to tip but I think it's pretty crazy to ask for it before receiving the service or for take out. Anyway I tipped a dollar and they didn't even put any salsas in the bag. Tacos were still bomb tho. Or I went to dine in and I ordered a cheese and nodal taco and they forgot the cheese. And I let my waitress know and she told the cook and you can hear him arguing about it, saying he did it and then asked to see the taco so they had to take my plate.. and then you can still hear bickering and you see the waitress showing him the ticket where I asked for it....that was a bit unprofessional. So cook, just chill cuz your Tacos were...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām all for supporting local business but not this one. First I was taken by surprise at the pricing. Paid $18 for 12 tacos. Second they werenāt worth the price. They are bigger as the lady said the would be compared to ultimo, taco loco and most taco places but the flavor stayed on the plancha where they made them. The meat was hard and some bits were overcooked and left that burnt taste you canāt get rid of in my mouth. Very dry.
You can probably make better tacos at home to be honest but you be your own judge. Donāt take my word for it.
(Tacos in photo are a couple hours old. I didnāt...
