They have some nice products.
I noticed a lot of Asian markets do not put price tags on some of their products, however this store takes that to a whole new level and only puts price tags on very few of their products. Since everything we were considering buying didn't have a price tag we kept asking what the price was which eventually annoyed the person behind the counter.
There are some places that do this so that they can change the price depending on the ethnicity of their clientele and since we are not "Oriental", if that was the case, I have no doubt those prices were jacked up. One might think the employee would notice that using food stamps might mean the people aren't filthy rich but then again people don't always notice things and maybe it just doesn't matter to them.
Or maybe that wasn't the case at all and the prices are jacked up for everyone. Hard to say and I'll likely never really know.
I should also admit that this is the first Asian market I've been to in this area so maybe they are all like that, so this review is not a comparison for this area, I'm used to shopping at Asian markets in the Midwest and the West...

Others have also mentioned how confusing the pricing is. We got a few items and all but one happened to be a different price from the sticker. I take responsibility that I could have easily asked for clarification. What kind of annoyed me was my husband making a comment about the kimchi being a certain price in front of the cashier and after he charged us he just looked at us and said no it’s actually this amount. Double the price and he over heard us. I mean he could have told us before to avoid confusion. Oh well....
Read moreThis place is simply amazing! I don't mean to toot my own horn persay, but my father and I are quite knowledgeable in Asian quasine/food, so when we visited this market, we were surprised to find many niche items that the general American individual wouldn't consider to get. I didn't think I'd be able to obtain miso paste specifically from Japan, but this place proved me wrong! My father and I left the store with a variety of Japanese/Korean snacks/foods such as curry, ramen, ramune, nori, and mochi to name a few. Definitely recommend visiting this place for your...
