The Toucan Lounge — Restaurant in Brownsville

The Toucan Lounge is a place that has been around forever. I had never been there and I was apprehensive at first; however, I was presently surprised. Some of the people that were there mentioned they've been visiting Toucan Lounge for more than 10 years. Persons were friendly. Atmosphere is becoming. This is my hole in the wall bar. Been coming here for about 15 years now. No big shakes really. Just a small bar. Older crowd during the week. Weekends sometimes have live music. More of a diverse age group on weekends aswell. I only gave it three stars just because it's really just a hotel lounge and not a bar. Still, it's a cool place to hang with your drinking buddy and just catch up...

White guy by myself, recommended by lady at hotel. Went in and took 5 minutes to get bartender to take my order, after finishing drink 2 bartenders walked past me about a dozen times and did not ask me if i wanted another. About the most unwelcomeing bar i have ever been in in my 61 years of life. Was not anything about not tipping 2 dollars...
