PICA-PICA Candy Bar — Restaurant in Brownsville

Its the second time I come here and drinks are just not good. I’m surprised other reviews don’t really address this topic.

First time I got a Michelada, and I thought the mix wasn’t really a michelada mix. I’m not sure if they mix the chamoy with the michelada, but thats just not it. I like it on the rim, but IN the mix is just a crime. My pet peeve is when candies go inside a drink and become hard. This is how they serve it, and I ended up throwing them all away because they were just too hard to eat. Suggestion, put them on the side or place a lid and put them on top. Ya’ll are known for the candy, please don’t ruin it for us.

Second time, I got an agua mineral preparada because I was not trusting the drink mixes anymore. It came as another disappointment:(. The lemon juice they used tasted like full on rind and old lime juice. It just ruined the whole drink for me.

I think the place looks amazing, but I am unsure of what the concept of the establishment is since they sell alcohol and candies but its not a bar. I guess I will only be back for the skittles enchilados because the drinks are just...

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Yesterday was my first time in the establishment, I came highly recommended thru some friends. Let me just tell you that it seems they copied all the theme of a similar candy shop in Los Angeles where I'm originally from, kinda sad that someone else did all their homework and this establishment just copied them. If you're looking for a snack shop, this is the place. My absolute favorites are the spicy gushers and the nieve de mango. The gushers are so addicting, I can’t stop eating them. The perfect balance of spicy and sweet keeps me coming back for more. The nieve de mango is another must try. Oh, and don’t even get me started on the spicy mango chamoy it’s so good.
