Wendy's — Restaurant in Brownsville

Drive-thru service had good customer service. Ordered croissants to try their new breakfast option. Ordered a #2 combo and requested an extra sandwich with no cheese for my 6yo (the croissant sandwich comes with swiss). Whrm asked to sub orange juice for coffee, she said "Absolutely, Sir" - hubs was ordering. We also ordered a bacon and egg bisquit (no combo). When we got to the window to pay, I asked if they had cheddar cheese to add to the sandwich that I had asked for without cheese, she asked if I said "Shredder cheese," I said, "No, shredded cheese or any other yellow cheese," to which she replied, "oh yes, American cheese," so I said, "Yes that one" she said, "ok" and she left the window to go let them know. When we got our breakfast sandwiches, one had cheese and the other one didn't. So, I didn't get swiss on mine (which I wanted), but my son's had American cheese, which was more important. It was goooood. Fresh, flaky biscuits and croissants, egg was pretty darn good - not overcooked, and sausage was not too sweet, just slightly spicey. Their fries are sooo good, I'm not sure if they are a breakfast only fries, but they were light; crispy on the outside and soft on the inside (more like wedges). I hadn't had them before. Giving them 5 stars cause overall they were trying to follow the screen after the order was placed and we were changing it at the window. She was courteous and was patient with my request, and they were all pretty fast to get the order out. Probably spent like 4 minutes at the drive thru, if that. My husband and I laughed about "shredder cheese" and thought maybe I should have asked for Ninja...

The food at Wendy's has always been a must-visit whenever you've already gone to Whataburger, Burger King and Chick-fil-A about 5 times each and you're hungry and couldn't be bothered to go to any of the above-mentioned places one more time. Hit up a Wendy's and you'll probably have a very good time. I ordered the regular hamburger with cheese and bacon, the french fries and a drink. I added on the side some spicy chicken nuggets because I knew that I wasn't going to be heading to that spot after that time, and I'll say this one thing, I definitely did go another time after that a day or two later. Not going to sit here and say that their food in general is the best out there, but I will say that what I had on that day was very enjoyable and very tasty. The hamburger had a good amount of condiments and the flavors were proper. I will admit, though, the french fries are a must eat at the moment of serving otherwise they will be no good in the future even if you try to microwave. You would have to add a lot more salt oh, maybe some pepper to make it bearable. I usually very much enjoy spicy stuff so the spicy nuggets were a good little side order, definitely would recommend, however, I would not recommend the regular ones only because who would even? Eating Wendy's food was a considerably good experience when I went that I had to experience it again about two days later. Was feeling hungry, I was brainstorming, Wendy's was the decision. Overall experience was good. Recommend?...

The food at fast food chains are pretty consistent no matter where you eat at, so when it comes to rating fast food places, it all comes down to service. I went to this Wendy's around 12:30am on a Friday night. I waited at the drive tru speaker for about 15 minutes, but no one would answer. I had check the closing time before arriving, and it said the place closed at 1am. So I drove up to the window to check to see if anyone was there. There was. They weren't paying attention, so I just sat there for another 5 minutes. An employee finally saw me and came to the window, when he opened slide he said "sorry we're closed." To which I replied, "oh, ok. But your sign says you close at 1," as I pointed to the sign stuck to the window. He said "we usually close ten minutes early every day. We're done for the night." I then asked him "were you closed 20 minutes ago, because that's how long I had been waiting for you." He seemed annoyed and proceeded to try to take my order, "fine, what would you like to order then, I'll do it for you just this once." At this point I was pretty upset, so I drove off and got whataburger.

The only reason I'm not giving this place 1 star is because this place is consistent during the day, but their night crew sucks ass.
