YUKIS — Restaurant in Brownsville

I was recently there with my parents and the food was great. However, when we arrived we were greeted and I replied. Then I was talking to my mom about the snacks since she is not very familiar with the menu and this lady kept interrupting us and asking what we were going to order. She saw us talking about the options and decided to interrupt again. I looked at her and said "can you please give us a minute" and continue deciding on the order. When I was ready to order, she turned her back on me and ignored me, I guess she didn't like that I asked her to wait. Another girl quickly came and took our order. There were 2 other couples and us at the time. When we sat down to wait for our order, that first girl grabbed the tip jar and started shaking it and saying "can everyone put your tips here" something along the line. The other couples were already there when we arrived so she was doing it for us. Cause she kept looking at us. I told her that I had left the tip on the card cause we paid with CC then she said oh ok and continued cleaning. It was obvious that she had a problem with us and did something so disrespectful towards me and my parents. 0/5 Stars, wouldn't recommend. We walked in, advised it was our first time and asked for a moment to see the menu. The attendant immediately made an unfriendly face and walks off. A few moments later we placed our order and waited. We weren't informed that what we order wasn't available, we were simply handed whatever they felt like making. I called to speak with a manager once I was home and was hung up on when they answered. I called back and was able to speak with a manager who informed me it was a misunderstanding due to language barrier. Don't charge folks for something they don't want. It's also not a good look when an employee gets offended from customers...

I hadn't eaten since last night. Busy day! So I thought that it would be a good idea to break-fast with dessert, namely their largest size strawberry sorbet. Fruit for breakfast, right???
