China Cafe — Restaurant in Brownwood

I tried china cafe today because of the ratings amd my love for Asian food. I noticed a plaque on the wall "best Asian food" award... this was obviously given when they were the "only" Asian restaurant in brownwood and the plaque had already been made. I was served the scrapings off the bottom of a crock pot worst hot and sour soup I've ever encountered and it was cold bland and tasted like thickened chicken stock bland and plain. When I told the cook it was also cold he touched the Walmart crock pot on the outside and said, its warm. But when I said it's absolutely cold he took it and microwaved it lol. I took it home and added soy sauce and saratcha myself because, gross. My friend ordered pepper steak that came with no pepper at all plain yucky bland, and the worst fried mush rice he has had, prepared in what he said tasted like dish water. Its no wonder they charge and request a tip before you get that order because had we not paid up front we would have left the garbage on the table and walked out. We paid about 16.00 to throw away their garbage, it was horrible. Call Gordon Ramsey before...

We ate here for the first time today. The food tasted so terrible that I told my friend that I have to write a review. I agree with Lissett Vargas Remirez about the egg roll looking like a burrito and tasting like nothing. The fried rice was soggy/mushy and just covered with soy sauce. My friend ordered the teriyaki chicken and when he received his order and opened the lid the first thing I said was " did you order liver, that looks terrible". We both took a bite of the dish and spit it out immediately. I was not impressed at all and am quite shocked that they serve such food. I will not be going back at all!!!!

I am all for local business but "Come On Man" I wish the owners would read these comments and try to fix these issues. Management needs to address the cluster...

You go through the drive-thru and they ask you if you want your change. Why don't you just beg people for a tip next time I'll barely politely pay with Monopoly. It's rude to ask somebody I don't care what you say. Would it be rude for me to say them eggrolls our little eyelets give a dollar yes it would be. If I want to give her a tip I will give her a tip if I don't I don't want to be asked. I used to run Sonic across the road I fired people for doing that. And I would have fired one of my own kids for begging for a tip. Another thing pay them enough they don't have to...
