I SCREAM YOU SCREAM WE ALL SCREAM FOR (over the rainbow) ICE CREAM!!!

There is no way possible to leave this place anything less than a 5 star.. I was in Brownwood for 4 days, and I came back 3 times cause I was literally having dreams and day dreams about their UBE ice cream.. I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Stopped here on my first night in town, and then begged my boyfriend to take me back again and again on our way out of town. I sampled basically every flavor, and while they were all so superior quality, and so so delicious, I kept coming back to the ube.. (and then finally got a pistachio scoop on my last visit to give another phenomenal flavor a chance.. + it made for a very aesthetic picture). This ice cream is not like other ice creams. It’s not like anything you’ve ever had. You can taste the love and hand made, small batch quality. It’s dangerously silky and smooth. Typically I only eat ice cream if it’s severely inclusive of chunky ingredients, but with the intense flavor here, I didn’t miss any of the chunks I normally crave. The ube was my overall favorite, obviously, because it’s so sweet, but somehow at the same time equally sooo mild. You almost don’t feel like you’re eating ice cream, it’s certainly not the kind of ice cream you eat that hurts your stomach after and makes you feel sick with a sugar crash later..

I cannot rant and rave enough about this place. I told my boyfriend “I would literally be on my 600 lb life for this Ube ice cream if I lived here” & I’m not even joking. Unfortunately I mean it when I say it’s a good thing there’s not one of these local to me, or I would be in SERIOUS TROUBLE.

I'm gonna be real, I live 4 hours away and I can't stop thinking about how good this ice cream is. Now I wasn't expecting much, this place really caught me by surprise. Even just walking in and smelling the cookies. The low-key minimalist atmosphere was an intresting choice for a shop, but I dig it. I tried some flavors which were good, but I'm simple when it comes to flavors of ice cream: I want either the wildest flavor on the menu or I want a simple clasic. I was not lucky enough to snag any ube (just all the more reason to come back), so sweet cream it is. I was enchanted. I hadn't had ice cream like this in ages. I could tell it was carefully crafted and I enjoyed every bit. But listen, I'm not an ice cream person, my true love is cookies. Which I did not buy a cookie, against my better judgment. No no, I got a wonderful surprise I had no idea was included: The waffle cone. Let me tell you, I was seeing stars when I bit into the cone. It was sweet and buttery like a cookie, but perfectly crunchy. Now I don't know who up at the store was like, "Now what if we put a sugar cookie in the waffle cone press and sell it to the masses?" because friends that is over the rainbow, you are shooting for the stars now. Super cute spot for ice cream, cookies, and other sweets! The interior is decorated beautifully and has plenty of space for seating, making this such a fun place to spend time with friends and family.

I’ve tried all sorts of different flavors from Over the Rainbow (Starberry, cookies/cream, blue coconut, Ube, Butter Pecan, Peach Cobbler, etc) and I never had one that I didn’t like. What I love about this place is that they add new flavors every month and continuously try to find ways to enhance their menu which is always very exciting.

Out of all the flavors I tried, the one that caught me by surprise was the Ube! I never thought I would find a Filipino-flavored ice cream in central Texas but I enjoyed every bite of it. My friend ordered the ube milkshake and said it was one of her favorite things to order.

Aside from the delicious ice cream, the chocolate chip cookies here are to die for. Crunchy on the outside but soft and gooey on the inside. I’ve tried their snickerdoodle and sugar cookies which are great but the chocolate chip cookies are a must.

Overall, this is one of the cutest ice cream shops I’ve ever visited and I hope everyone gets to stop...
