Customer service has been non-existent since the change to Astound and you can't talk to anyone now without getting a read from script response. The wait times are also atrocious no matter what department you try to reach and it is never less than 30 minutes. Nobody answers the phone outside business hours and you get a "leave a message" prompt. They have the nerve to send a tech that obviously hasn't had the most basic training and argues with someone that went to school to do what he does and more about what the problem is. He clearly doesn't know how any of the equipment operates and if he can't plug in a computer and get an error code to tell him the issue, he's lost immediately and gets threatened when you explain what he should know and don't want him inside touching your personal devices after that interaction because well, he's not proven he won't break something and charge for it! Everyone here just wants to argue now when you clearly describe or show the problem. They just don't want to own it, and that is part of having a business. Clearly hired people to pay them junk pay and not because they were qualified, because nobody I have spoken to or dealt with since this transition has been either as a tech or in customer service. Please get the old people back.
They did not ground my fiber install correctly or it has developed an issue and lightning entered my home on their line twice. I have over $1k worth of devices that have been fried due to this issue and they refuse to take responsibility at all or even send a truck to look at the problem and ground their equipment and line. Their truck never arrived and there is a clear avoidance of this because they do not want to be proven at fault and have to reimburse me for the cost when I protected...
Read moreThroughout my brief service period with Harris Broadband the Internet has been rather worth it when you compare the speeds and stability to competing providers (I personally have the 30/30 Package). Of course like any Internet service the connection will have it's occasional hiccups. However overall there is not really a lot to complain for, you get what you pay for. I'd recommend getting the fiber optic service as it will obviously be vastly superior to DSL services. You'll need to provide your own router (which is compatible with the main-wire connection) however once you've got this done you'll be good to go. You don't have to worry about a dish (reference to Dish Network horrid experience) going out in a storm and landline-services (fiber optic connection in which Harris Broadband uses) are just in general superior and more reliable than it traveling through the airwaves through a dish. If you're thinking about getting this service you probably should as there really is nothing else quite like Harris Broadband services within the Brown County area. I'd recommend it so if you're on the fence about it, just go to their physical location and ask some questions and find out for yourself. Hope this helps those who were just a bit curious. I just personally wish they had a 60/60 package personally or just replacing the 30/30 with slightly better (more modern speeds) as this would help intensive Internet users out such as myself but overall most customers are probably going to be quite happy with their service as it is solid and reliable. Good job...
Read moreWe love the service but one employee was charging us more then what our bill was so when we caught on we started going to the other employee and have had no problems since until the last 3 times her being the only employee available to make our payment to. We went Friday and was told we were 2 months behind which we aren’t so I made an account online logged in and went through the last 3 months and it showed we were charged 132 dollars this month that was posted on our account from January saying that we paid paid our monthly bill plus an extra 132 the next day which was false and didn’t pay for February which we did but shows no payment for February and was taken out of the 132 instead and this month the 132 was added to our bill 🤔 someone is pocketing people’s money by overcharging and trying to cover their tracks on the statements but clearly made a mistake! Where this 132 came from I have no clue and I will not pay it! So now that I have proof of this employee taking money from the people or company I will be contacting a manager or supervisor tomorrow! Other then that it’s...
