My fiancé and I saw their post on Facebook about the Pagash pizza and decided to give this place a try. We got the small Pagash, a Medium Chicago Deep Dish with Meatball and Garlic and Breaded Mushrooms.
When I walked in I was greeted very warmly and the lady who grabbed my order for me was extremely sweet!!
When we got home we dug into the mushrooms and we both agreed they’re some of the best we’ve ever had!! Not overly greasy and very very flavorful, the ranch really tops it off.
The Pagash pizza was AH-MAZING!! We wish we’d gotten a larger one of those. I really enjoyed dipping it in the sour cream it came with my by fiancé doesn’t like sour cream. Either way it was a great pizza and we will come back solely for that pizza.
As for the deep dish, we were not impressed at all. As someone who was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs, this is not Chicago deep dish. I really wanted to trust the reviews that raved about this being the best deep dish outside of Chicago, but it’s not. It reminded me of Lou Malnati’s and I’m a Giordano’s gal through and through. I’ve had flavorless Lou Malnati’s before and while this one wasn’t that bad, it was a serious let down for me. It lacked the right amount of cheese to call it deep dish. The cheese it did have was not melty at all and in fact more congealed than anything else which really ruined the experience for us. I couldn’t take the garlic we added. I wasn’t impressed with the meatball, sauce or crust. Just an absolute let down and now I’ve got pizza left over that my fiancé won’t touch and I’m struggling to convince myself to finish it because I paid for it, but it just doesn’t do it for me. I’ll stick to getting Giordano’s when I visit my family or ordering it frozen and shipped because the deep dish we had tonight is something we will not be getting again.
I’m open to trying their other items, but I’d stay away from...
Read moreThis definitely needs to be put out there! Ordered a 6 inch pizza-added 3 toppings-had it delivered-added $3 tip for the driver-total came to $21!! Get the pizza-take a bite-felt something tickling the side of my face-like a hair! So I was able to get it between my two fingers and slowly pulled on it-and I started to gag as it was coming out of my mouth! And there it was a hair-and midway thru the length of the hair-was a piece of cheese that the hair was attached/running through! When I called back, Joe, the manager, said they would make another on and deliver it to me! I told him I certainly wouldn’t get another pizza and wanted a refund. Said the driver would come back and pick it up and they would look at it and determine if a refund would be issued. Not only was he rude and unprofessional, he hung up on me when I was asking if he would be calling me this evening regarding the refund. He left a voicemail letting me know they seen the hair in the ziplock bag I put it in and knew where it came from and said said they would be issuing a refund. I called back and spoke to Joe, the manager, to confirm the full $21 would be refunded, he started talking over me and went in about how the funds would be on hold with my bank-not answering my question! Finally, I told him not to interrupt me when I was speaking, and he then said the full amount would be refunded and asked if I had any further questions and when I said no-he again slammed the phone on me! Great professionalism from a manager! Thought I would give this place a try-I’ll continue to get my pizzas from East...
Read moreHORRIBLE customer service!!!!! We've been ordering from GAP for several years now and have forgiven order errors in the past, but today absolutely ended it!! We did not receive part of our meal. When we called, I was told I needed to pick it up, then I was told they'd deliver it "when they could" (which was in no way acceptable seeing that dinner SHOULD be eaten together not in pieces and parts, then, when I asked to speak to the manager, who, after pulling teeth, gave up the name of Gerald, I was yelled at and argued with in regards to their error. I was told it was the fault of the delivery service, not them. When I asked who packaged the meal, I was shocked to learn it was a GAP employee not the Uber driver. He was extremely rude and told me he did not have to listen to me and that I needed to listen to him. Needless to say, he was not pleased when I stated his customer service skills were lacking skill. We have, in the past, received pizza with wrong toppings. Ordered fish dinners and got chicken instead. Received pizza that was charred black on the bottom. The main thing that made a difference was the customer service on the other end. It's apparent that GAP no longer values their customers. Actions speak louder than words. We will no longer spend our money at a business that does not value its customers. I'm fairly certain the management will dispute my review, which will only prove my point. I hope they use this review to train their employees on how to provide customers service. Especially Gerold. IF...
