Zazarac's Bar & Eatery — Restaurant in Bryan

Original review from Spring/Summer 2024: The waiters were sweet and friendly. The upscale drink and snacks/tapas vibe is very classy. It's the perfect place for a light happy hour with friends before dinner or a post dinner nighttime cocktail lounge or speakeasy vibe. I'll definitely be back. The food was good, though portions were small (intentionally, since it's not a dinner). The drinks were delicious as well, though generally $10 or above unless getting a wine or beer, but they were high quality. You could spend around $15-20 for a single drink and tapas. If you want more, it'll be $20-40/person.

Update as of 11/19: I took an out of town friend here for a cocktail hour after dinner, and we both loved it as much or more as the first time I went. The drinks were still superbly done, the guava ice cream was perfection (from texture and old school original ice cream style to flavor), the vibe was as speakeasy awesome as always, waiters were still lovely and the owner (David Swanson) even came over and talked with us for a good while. I just tried this restaurant for the first time last night. My friend and I each got a cocktail and those were delicious! We ordered the potato Boulettes and the whipped honey, feta dip. The feta dip was room temperature and the potato Boulettes were cold. Our waitress asked us if we wanted to order any other food and we politely said no we will take the check. We did want to try the other entrées, but seeing that our food came out cold for the appetizers, we didn’t want to pursue ordering anymore from this restaurant. One waitress was wearing a cocktail dress, and the other waitress was wearing leggings and an old T-shirt. The waitress who was wearing leggings and a T-shirt had a blonde bob haircut and big lashes. I wish we could say we had good service from her, but she was very short with us and we told her it was our first time here and she didn’t care to recommend anything or even smile at us the whole time. The atmosphere is very comfortable in there with the beautiful art on the walls, But unfortunately, with the cold food and terrible service the atmosphere isn’t enough to bring us back to try this...

I’ve never had a bad experience at zazarac’s. The service is amazing! All the servers are welcoming.as soon as you walk through the door! This place is definitely worth stopping at least once a week!! Probably the BEST place to eat in Bryan Ohio! My 6th trip this year and I fell in love with the smash burger. The best around! I’ve never ordered deviled eggs before and I’ll definitely order them again! Boneless wings are delicious also with any sauces.if you like fried chicken sandwiches…. Definitely try one of them, I don’t like honey mustard and the honey mustard that comes in...
