Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Bryant

Forgot to take photos of the food tonight but the flavor was excellent. Its has been years since we had Church's so it was nice to see that the food is still pretty great. We were avid fans of Church's before we moved to Arkansas from Florida so, needless to say, we were pretty excited when we heard they were putting one in locally.

We got the Texas Sized family deal this evening around 6:30pm. The chicken pieces and tenders were fresh out of the fryer, had a great flavor, and plenty of meat. The coleslaw was amazing. The mashed potatoes were a bit lacking in what I would consider an ideal flavor but they were decent. Would love it if gravy was on the side on not already on the potatoes. The mac & cheese was a bit drier than I expected but that made it closer to a homestyle mac than you get from other places locally.

All in all the food was good, fresh, and in-line with what we expected. The service was over the top, though. They had to drop some new tenders into the fryer which required us to wait a bit. The gentleman who helped us was very kind, courteous, and empathetic to our having to wait.

Save your money and sanity. Go somewhere else! Rude! I placed my order and was told they did not have the spicy chicken ready. Told her I would wait (I have waited 6-10 minutes in the past here for fresh, hot chicken so that was ok.) Waited in the drive thru, paid for my order and was told to park. No problem. After 20 minutes with other vehicles coming and going, I still did not have my order. You can't tell me that in 20 minutes NO ONE ELSE ordered spicy chicken. I went inside and she boxing someone else's order. I asked how much longer they thought it would be and was very rudly told that she asked me if I could wait. I informed her that I was never told the wait would exceed 20 minutes. She hurriedly threw my order in the boxes and slid it across the counter to me and walked away. No apology or even a word. I could have just went to any of the 3 chicken restaurants down the road...... next...

We ordered a family 12 piece chicken with two sides (mashed potatoes and okra) via the app to pick up on the way home from work. The food was so bad that my teen refused to eat the rest of her chicken and okra. The mashed potatoes were good but there was maybe a tablespoon of gravy to the large cup. The okra tasted like the chicken and vise-versa. The oil used to cook the food was OLD, and had not been changed in a while which left a horrible aftertaste and made the okra and chicken taste the same. They apparently use the same fryers to cook everything in instead of having designated fryers for certain foods. Seriously, gas station chicken tastes better than what we wasted $37.35 on! We will definitely never eat...
