This is one of the very very few places I've ever been who understands when you say, make it spicy - they make it spicy. Like cough cough dang! spicy. Excellent. But! Always a but... The flavor of the dinner is top notch. This isn't the old five ten minute takeout that scratches the itch but doesn't put the baby to bed. This puts the baby into college, goes to the wedding, and becomes God parents good. Do not doubt me. đ Great people, got laughed at because I kept saying spicy!. She says, I speak English, understand. But, if anyone out there is a heat freak, most do not really understand, but they do! I have two other "favorite" places, but those are a long way away, and Chen's is a DANG awesome local haunt.
Now, aside from spicy, my son is so not spicy (6 yrs) and they took care of him as well, on the same level. Chow Mein, but like nothing I've ever had before. Seems the recipe is house wherever you go. Which I love. One place was white sauce (lobster style) with cabbage, but here at Chen's (going to call them LC from now on. My initials, too. Ooooo, fate...) it was silky, tofu, meat, almost soup to be used with rice with love and not filler. Always eat your rice, people! Gohan is life. I know, crossing my influence, but still, eat more rice, more veg, less meat. More healthierererer.
Go here. Be happy. Live long. Enjoy family with your awesome food made by awesome people with good taste.

Read moreAbsolutely disgusting customer service. We called up to ask for the missing items in our order and we were told that we were lying about the items being missing. We asked for a refund and they declined and put the phone down. We then had to take the food to the shop to request a refund and still didnât get the full amount because they wouldnât refund us for the items that were missing and accused us of eating those items. Weâd also tipped the driver, money we wonât get back, and he lied and said heâd given us two bags of food when in fact we received one bag. The lady I spoke to was so rude and said her driver wouldnât lie, when he did. When my partner took the food back, the delivery driver was there and confirmed he had only given us the one bag. No apology from the staff but they then offered to cook the whole order again, but we didnât trust that the food would be ok without being tampered after that so asked for a...

Today I noticed they are adding wayyyyyy too many onions to the chop suey. This is the cheapest vegetable you can use. Sign of cutting corners on their food.
I am a fan of pork chop suey in general. Ever since "Happy House" in Niles burned down. I've been looking for a replacement. I may have found it. For the same size portion their chop suey is &1.50 cheaper than Hot Wok. And it tastes better! It's a little more out of my way. But I believe I will be going there often. Update: Today, Tasty Chen fell off the cliff. They have been raising prices where it is no longer affordable. The cook is not filling containers to the top as he did before. And they went to a really cheap piece of meat (pork) that is like eating pure pork fat.
I had to give the pork to the dogs as it was not edible.
I have to once again find a new Chinese restaurant that doesn't...
