Westside Pizza — Restaurant in Buckley

First time eating here, so I started with their signature pizza, a grand sized Death By Pizza..No Canadian bacon, add fresh tomatoes, and double the pineapple. I ordered well done crust. Cheese was golden brown, toppings looked thin. First bite, tasted good but lacking flavor in the sauce. Sauce should very flavorful, especially if spread thin. Fair amount of bacon, sausage is decent. Onions, peppers, and mushrooms were sparse. Pepperoni is bland and disappointing. Crisp crust, good cheese. The crust has a slight peanut flavor to it. Not sure if it's dough, or the flavor of the oil, but they should incorporate garlic into the oil to mask the flavor, and make it tastier. Price is expensive, even with a coupon. Clean restaurant, friendly staff and the pizza was cooked with care. My review only reflects the pizza recipe and flavor. Probably one of the best options for pizza in the area, which isn't saying much. For the price, though, I'd rather just have a take and bake from PM. This place is just as overrated as most pizza parlors in the area. People from the east coast giving rave reviews here are deluded. But to each his own. We've driven by these guys hundreds of times saying to ourselves we should try then sometime but never following through. We REALLY dislike change as stick with what we know is good and tried and true. Plus, with looking at the somewhat higher price than most it was enough to not bother with trying Westside. To say it was worth the wait would be entirely way too cliche so I'll say this: It was way worth the wait!! First of all, the selection is pretty killer, and if we're being honest their prices are actually comparable to other "real" pizza joints as opposed to the Fast Food pizza. Totally different. The way they've mastered that cooked vegetable taste, and the fact that they don't overdo it with the sauce. Holy geebus!! And to top it off they gave us a free pizza voucher for having to wait for what I thought was a reasonable time for take-out on a busy Saturday, but they truly believe obviously customer service (something most everyone else can learn). We've been in the neighborhood for more than a year now and have ordered from them regularly. It's a pleasant surprise when they remember everything and get the order all correct. Things are often forgotten or wrong. Delivery times and quality are all over the place. Last night's pizza had all the sauce on one side. The kids are really sweet, and we haven't actually been in to the store, so I can't help wondering what's going on down there. And now they've change their supplier on the wings without saying anything. The spice is part of the breading, and this is a problem for my food allergies -- almost had to use my rescue inhaler.
