This place tends to be hit or miss when I have frequented this location. The young woman who assisted me was very nice and accommodating. I did not see cake batter, but opted for sweet cream. I only wanted one scoop. The young lady proceeds to put only one scoop on the slab. That is the smallest, saddest one scope I had ever gotten at Marble Slab. It is usually 2.5x the size she put on there. I did opt for a second scoop. She tells me she is going to ring me up on the end. I pull out my rewards app. I am only looking to earn points. Every time I try to have them scan my QR code, they look at me like I am from Mars. The first time they claimed it was not set up. I was told the rewards were only for the cookie side. No problem, I ordered my kid a frosted cookie. The lady who had gotten my cone and was ringing me up had to call another young woman over to help her with the rewards. They ask for my number and key it in. "Do you want to register for the rewards program?" They ask. Why would I register for the program if I already have the app open and need them just to scan a QR code? The young girl then tells me I do not have any points. Thanks again, but I only want to earn points not use them. I explain they need to either use my number or scan the QR code. I was told, "Well, we do not have anything to scan with." Rewards code FAIL.
I appreciated the first young woman helping me and trying to do what she could. You could tell this was probably her first job and she was not trained on the "Rewards Program". I understand the scoops are a little smaller and maybe this is the way this location does it, or maybe the way she was trained. You could tell that she did not even make an attempt to mix the toppings together on the slap and scoop it off they way they normally do. The second young woman acted like she did not have the time to come over and figure it out. She was more curt. She was not necessarily rude, but she gave off the vibe that she had better things to do than deal with this register. The ice cream was amazing. The frosted cookie was very good. It is hard to really screw up a cookie that comes from a cardboard box that you have to bake. I do really with they had more of a selection of cookies to grab and go. You could tell it was all hands on deck, as they were making...
Read moreEveryone, definitely look and read this carefully; now seeing the negative reviews that are placed upon this business (majority of people not reading the store hours correctly), is downright absurd. You have to understand, product have to be made, frozen and baked before opening thus having the hours opening up at 1pm- 8pm tues-sat. Sun,1pm-7pm. AGAIN, TUES-SAT, 1PM-8PM, SUN 1PM-7PM with closed on Mondays. Now i got that out the way, this place ive been to numerous times, the ice cream is always...ALWAYS fresh. To tell you how fresh it is, ive been here almost everyday to get my signature vanilla and strawberry in a waffle cone(shown above) bowl. The people are nice as well; lisa and Abigail are the two most friendly people ive ever met! With those two, service is always on point.
This is a definite high recommended and new favorite ice cream spot to come too! I wont go...
Read moreService sucks We walked in and the guy asked if we were getting cookies or ice cream. We said ice cream, he looked down and began to ignore us. The young lady also continued to make cookies while ignoring us. She walked away for a bit while the man continued to ignore us. He then said she was the only one who can serve ice cream. When she came back she asked if he was helping us. We said no, apparently only one person her can serve ice cream. She then served us, after our ten minutes wait. Mind you as I entered I was thinking, dam it's hot outside this ice cream shop should be full. We were the only ones there and I now know why. Who ever manages this store needs to be...
