DO NOT COME HERE. The owner of this place is beyond rude. The rudest I've ever been treated at a restaurant. Don't get me wrong, the two servers were really friendly and attentive. However, the owner was truly something else. My boyfriend and I came in to eat at around 8pm. I had called ahead and asked them what time their last call was and they said it was 8:30pm for dine in so I thought we would be OK. Around 8:35pm the owner walks in with an upset face. At 8:40pm, he comes to our table with the wireless card reader, which I didn't mind. But he handed us the receipt without saying a single word and then stared at us. He then proceeded to say "you wanna pay now or later" in the most rude tone. We were taken aback so we said we'd pay later but he kept staring at our table holding onto the cleaning cart. He also did the same thing to the folks at another table. The guy that was sitting at that table ended up saying "i'm sorry" because of how rude & forceful the owner was. We didn't get to finish our food even though it was 8:47pm and they close at 9pm because of how rushed he was making us feel. And when we were leaving, I was taking a couple of seconds to get up because I have an ACL & meniscus tear and my boyfriend heard the owner say "ugh". When we left, the owner didn't even greet us. I felt so awful& indigested that I went back in and asked if he had a problem with us and all he said in the most sarcastic voice was "that wasn't my intention ok bye". PLEASE DO NOT DINE HERE. I understand Korean establishments at times aren't the best with customer service but that doesn't mean you should be rude to your customers & force them out before your stated closing time. I have my ACL surgery coming up soon and won't be able to dine at a restaurant for a while so we decided to come here for a decent meal to cheer me up. But I ended up leaving with my meal half eaten & an upset stomach thanks to the owner. I am all for supporting small businesses but the man needs to work on his character and manners before he presents himself before...
Read moreI've been coming here for more than 15 years. Their food has always been great but lately, the service here has diminished. I come here time to time to order takeout, and i've had bad experiences more than 3 times already (This has become a recent problem, their service was alright back then). The cashier doesn't give you the receipt unless you specifically ask. Majority of the issues are because of their price: the price on their menu is different from the amount they charge for takeout. Today, I came to pick up my order and they charged me $18, but on the menu the food I ordered only costs $15.95. I asked the cashier if the price went up, and they said that the price on their menu is old. I confronted them about why they didn't change the menu by now, then the cashier said that the food is the same price, it's just that my total is with the tax combined. If it was with tax price, the total should've been $17.19, since the sales tax is 7.75%. I asked why the total is $18, then they proceeded to say that they charge a fee for the takeout box. Now because of the pandemic and all, I understand why they would charge it. But atleast put a sign or put it on the menu and acknowledge the fee. With the menu price being old and how customers arent even informed about the fee for the takeout box, it feels very secretive. The cashier should've informed me about the fee in the first place and the confrontation wouldn't have even happened. No matter what kind of business, you shouldn't lie to customers. Wish the employees were more respectful. Good food,...
Read moreLove this place and will continue to come here whenever we pass through this area. Been coming here for years and never disappointed with the food. Their katsu is amazing, and perfectly cooked in my opinion, and very close to what we enjoyed while living overseas in Japan, minus the kimchee options which happen to be my favorite things on the menu. I suspect this is because this place seems to be nestled in a Korean community. This is the type of food fusion I can stand behind because cheese kimchi katsu is life !!! I find prices to be reasonable for portion, quality, and flavor. Place does seem to have a bit of an identity crisis with it's slow jams and love songs playing on the speakers and 50s diner posters all over the wall, but the katsu is why we come here and it doesn't disappoint. Customer service is a bit hasty with the quick turnaround of customers (we've never waited more than 20min or so even on the busiest days we come here ), but friendly enough and efficient. Don't expect to be checked up on as the service is very asian, silent service style , but as soon as you wave down an employee they are quick to respond to your needs. One unisex restroom available which is meh, but serves...
