Man, how this chain restaurant has fallen off, this particular location on Delaware specifically. It's possible to go to other Chipotles in the area that are more well-kept, efficient, and not giving out barely-constructed food than this one, so it's probably a management issue here.
Ordered a barbacoa burrito last night, from the drive-thru window. Sat at the window for 10-15 minutes (after when the app said my food would be ready) with two cars behind me, when it became clear no one inside was interested in servicing the takeout window. Why even have one, then?
I predicted my food was already packaged and in the restaurant, so I just parked and went in and asked for it. Sure enough, it was just sitting at the register, which meant it was probably cold from having been assembled 20 minutes ago. The interior of the restaurant was a bit busy, with a lot of workers performing tasks and seemingly management types checking in on everyone, so I have no clue what the communication breakdown could have been, but seeing the other reviews, it wouldn't look like the first time this has happened.
The food itself was...not good. The burrito was hastily wrapped and there was sour cream EVERYWHERE. My mistake, I guess, for not putting in "half sour cream" into the app, because I'd estimate my burrito was 40% sour cream. The first bite I took had some barbacoa, but it was gamey and chewy, with much of the bite being that fatty part of the meat that I couldn't even swallow. The only saving grace for the meal was that I coated it in hot sauce from my fridge, making it edible. I threw it away with about a third to go.
What happened to Chipotle? Well, over-expansion, probably, and a general saturation of the market. We don't need one of these on every street corner, especially if they're as mismanged as this location. I don't necessarily blame the kids working here, it's just a job to them, and they probably aren't getting paid a living wage anyway. I blame the management that fails to train them properly and not caring what the inside of the restaurant looks like/whether or not they are doing drive through orders. Just a shadow of its past self, it's time to delete the...
Read moreCame here on the same day I’m writing this review. The attitude from the employees leaves very little to be desired. They are impatient and have no spacial awareness of what is going on. I came in with my friend, literally no person was behind me and I’m verbally being rushed by the employee to “hurry up and pull up your order”. He then got more annoyed when I said “I’m just pulling it up give me a sec” Then was I’m making my order I asked for shredded cheese , NOT queso and he puts it on and tried to upsell me when I didn’t ask for it. Then gave my friend a very obvious look of annoyance when he said he wasn’t going to order. Oh and failed to tell me that it’s card only or exact change! So if you have cash you need exact change which there’s no sign and no communication to start with about that. Then when I’m trying to read everything on my list, the guy next to him is interrupting me also rushing me to hurry up and tell him what I need, like I’m not already telling him. Both my friend and I work in the service industry for almost 10 years and have never seen such unprofessionalism or willingness to not give a single care to be a decent person and start an interaction correctly so with a customer. “Smile say hi and ask what they would like to order” it goes without saying to not rush people out so they will want to come back. I know speed of service and how important it is and I still am able to keep my composure. Not ever coming to that chipotle again and absolutely letting our friends know not to come here. If you want to leave an establishment w a bad taste in your mouth then...
Read moreThe quantity of food was worth the price ,but the lady cashier was by far the rudest I have seen . As soon as we entered she sighed so loud that we can visibly see her upset at us for even entering the store. We proceeded to order the guy was very kind and was just asking her if they had any more beans left she said very loudly “what we have is what we have” and refused to do anything. We weren’t the only one in li e just so you know the situation.
She was very rude and went on to say “we have to install cameras so people don’t get extra portion “. We did not order any extras . She kept on taunting us till we went out.
Not sure what her problem was .she behaved very racist the people in the line were visibly upset with her behavior and the employees behind the counter were also upset with her behaving racist and rude to us.
We paid for our food we dint eat for free if that’s what she was worried .
Chipotle should teach their employees specifically the ones managing their stores to behave well to all people not minding their race, color or where they are from .
Hope they change this . Will not recommend this location to anyone. The employees other than that lady should receive a raise for just being patient with her .
Someone had already reviewed this place for being generous with their portions so again we don’t understand what her issue was . From the moment we entered she was just yelling and sighing at us .
My kids were so upset the entire time and dint understand what they did to deserve such...
