Super bummed. My SO and I went for breakfast and arrived at 9am. We were seated immediately since there were open tables.
Our server got our drink order in. That's when the manager came over to see how we were doing.
Drinks came out, I got the Greek frappe and my SO got coffee. The Greek frappe tasted good except I got a gritty texture in almost every sip I took. I only drank 1/3 of it.
When drinks came out we put our order in. I got the Greek breakfast with pancakes and fries instead of Greek potatoes. SO got Lox Benedict.
At that point we were doing well. Then time started passing. A table seated just before us (like less than a minute) just a different server got their food, then they finished, and paid. They left about 945. Meanwhile our server hadn't even come back to see us.
We watched a table seated after us who had ordered food get up and leave because they had to go.
Finally at 950 our food arrived. Except I didn't get my French fries. They brought Greek potatoes. At that point I was fed up and said forget about it.
The food tasted good. Good flavor. My SO food came out cool. Like it had been sitting and waiting.
By 958 we had the check, and had the card out to pay. I had left over chicken and wasn't offered a box. I requested it from the other server.
As we had finished paying the manager came back and asked how things went and I told her the above. I didn't get a chance to mention how we saw our server doing a lot of talking to one particular table, and how she barely came to check on us. The server also didn't stay long enough for us to talk to her about any of the issues we were having.
The manager gave us a $25 credit. Honestly don't know if we'll use it because it was frustrating. We heard from the other server that was talking to the other table that walked out that there was a delay with prep or something but it wasn't told to us at all.
I wouldn't be so disappointed had our server circled back to us especially when we saw her on the floor casually talking to people. I wouldn't be so frustrated if she had circled back and told us that things were taking a bit.
But I am. The manager was very sweet and the blonde server working was very kind and seemed like she was working hard. So that sums up the experience we had here. On the fence about coming...
Read morewhat a bad eggsperience we had! we were a party of 7 on a sunday morning so we called ahead and they said it’s first come first serve but that they only had 1 table large enough to seat 7. upon arriving we told them we had 7 and the host (manager) rolled her eyes at us and told us there was a wait, we sat and waited right next to our table (and others that would fit 7) that sat empty the whole time we waited (20-30 mins) we were sat and given waters and then not greeted for 10-15 mins where she took our drink and food orders. the drinks took another 10-15 to arrive and about an hour for the food and no one checked on us or let us know what the hold up was and we had to ask twice before getting a refill on the coffee. the iced coffee was pretty bad (in my opinion) and sat untouched the whole time then when they finally brought the food it was actually not our food so they finally bring us our actual meal, our eggs benedict had ham instead of the bacon that we asked for and the homefries had peppers and onions when we said we would like only potatoes nothing added them, the benedict was cold, the egg hard boiled not poached, the english muffin untoasted and the homefries undercooked. we couldn’t have anything done about this because we didn’t see our server again until the bill was brought. 3 of us didn’t eat most of our meals the 4th boxed his to go because it was cold and the other 3 ate because they were very hungry. we were never asked how everything was even though they cleared the table with mostly full plates of food. at the end of the meal our friend realized his cup had been given to him dirty with a lipstick mark on it after he drank the whole thing when we told our server she did not apologize she just said “well what do you want to do about it?” the manager was brought over and took of $3 from our $147 check. we understand things happen places get busy and may be understaffed but this was beyond that and just overall awful. the sign says eggscape to vasilis but we just wanted to eggscape...
Read moreUnfortunately my family and I did not have a great experience. We called ahead on Saturday for brunch just to be considerate because we had a party of 5 and we didn’t know how busy they would be. Friendly when we first walked in and we were seated separately in like a side room which we did not mind. It took awhile for us to be approached by our waiter. As we were ordering our drinks our waiter walked away before I was able order my drink. No biggie when she walked back I ordered my drink and went ahead and ordered our food. They have a pretty good variety of crepes so that is what I wanted but they lacked an ingredient to make them which is surprising since they have a page of their menu dedicated to crepes. Then our waiter forgot my drink again which is fine whatever I mentioned it to her. Then 40 minutes had gone by since we ordered and we didn’t see our waiter or hear anything about our food. I went up to I guess the owner and she told me the kitchen lost our ticket but the food would be out shortly. Just kind of annoying at least let us know I only found out because I walked up to the owner. Another half hour later we finally get our food which was decent but definitely not worth waiting a hour and a half. At this point we just want to pay and leave and when we received the bill we see that gratuity was already included. Which we brought up because on the menu it says for tables of 6 or more 20% gratuity is added on. She responded with a snarky response how she’s not trying to take our money. Turns out she was wrong and that was adjusted after we said something. We were here for 2 hours Just over all poor experience I was in town visiting family I haven’t seen in months for the holiday and we were disappointed and upon reading of these other reviews I see others have had a...
