Just had my first experience with ETS, it will also be my last. Went through the drive through tonight and ordered a supreme taco, beef burrito, waffle fries, and a milkshake. They never put the supreme taco in my bag, and I didnt notice until I got home.
I called the store and spoke to the manager "Mike", who said he wouldn't refund me unless I gave him the check number on the receipt, which was in my car outside my home on a cold rainy January night. So I went out there in the rain, got the receipt, waited 5 more minutes on hold (was about 20 minutes altogether) and gave him the check number, 675.
He then refused to refund the missing taco back onto my credit card, and said I could come in for a new one some time. 1) You charged me for a product you didnt provide to me. 2) After essentially making me pull teeth just to talk to a manager and refusing to refund my money, what on earth makes you think I would ever want to come back to your establishment?
On top of all this, when I told him which item was missing, his response was "well that's a pretty big item for them to miss" like I was making it up or something. This was my first time ever going here, I'm not some established customer who's going to keep coming back no matter what.
I dont even live nearby, I was just in the area then and wanted something easy and simple, which was the exact opposite of what I received. Worst customer...
Read moreI used to work here, there really is no reason they should be charging so much for tacos and burritos with such cheap ingredients. I am pretty sure their steak sub meat was just great value sirloin philly cheese steaks which are $6.50 for a 4 pack at wal mart. I make them at home all the time with the Costanzo rolls, half an onion and 1 slice of cheese. The fact that they are charging over 12 dollars for a sub that costs about $3.50 to make at retail tells you they are just being greedy.
Management was downright toxic and resort to misleading bait and switch claims advertising false starting wages to get new interviewees in the door. They do this weird probationary hiring thing where you don't get the same wage they advertise until you are "trained". They never say how long it will take and just consists of you working for a lower wage for an undetermined amount of time.
Getting promoted to the wage they advertise it is based more on popularity with the owners than actual performance. It seemed more like some sort of grooming process than training to me.
MY RESPONSE TO YOUR RESPONSE: Of course you would deny the cost analysis. I said "at retail" so even if it is off it just means you are getting your cheap ingredients for even cheaper at wholesale than I would at the...
Read moreI've been a customer for almost 20 years and it's been quite the pleasure. The evolution of ETS has been outstanding and always delivers satisfaction. I use to live in the Elmwood Village but after buying a house in University Heights, I still find myself driving across Buffalo to get to ETS because no one is quite like ETS. I've always have had a pleasant experience, the food is always hot and even the call ahead using the drive thru is genius! Beware the hot sauce selection, it really is hot sauce that means business and not some label. ;) The menu is very diverse and decently priced for what you get. The waffle fries are a legend and that cookie they offer is not only tasty but the size of a brick and will last for days! I'm crazy about their honey BBQ chicken fingers, which are perfection, no one has their tasty sauce and I've scoured grocery stores but there's no competition. (maybe they'll sell it to me out the back door, haha) During our last visit, there were a couple panhandlers that lurked but the staff were quick to respond and move them right out in a very professional matter before I could give a response. Overall I always look forward to ETS, it's worth my drive across Buffalo and it's a great idea for visiting friends and family. ...
