Their approach focuses on restoring existing structures with salvaged materials and thoughtful improvements, aiming to rejuvenate neighborhoods and create a foundation for a vibrant Buffalo.
The menu at Cookies & Cream is extensive and designed to cater to a variety of tastes. Read moreI worked here as the store manager for 2 months, I recently quit. The majority of employees are amazing, kind, hardworking people. Product is usually very good. Management is horrible and DOES NOT appreciate the employees, for anyone wondering. Many of the workers are high school students that put up with horrible treatment: short-staffing to cut costs, telling people not to come in just an hour before they work to save money, and sometimes not scheduling people for a full week to keep costs down. They’re given no time to clean or prep and so they are crazy busy doing it all while serving. They often have to stay very late at night to clean/close. Management doesn’t care, they’re exact response was “if they’re not cut out for the job they can leave.” I heard the same complaints from everyone. This business is new and is getting away with treating employees like they aren’t people with lives, worthy of respect. Since one of the owners took over as manager he has brought his son to the location to work - his son has been making twice as many tips as the rest of the workers when they work the same hours. After I left, the Assistant Manager that had been doing way too much for them without any acknowledgement also left right after me though he had worked there nearly 6 months (since they opened).
Please, do not support this business. They need to make serious changes to their management and how they treat their staff. I understand the product is often good but they mismanage much of the business, undervaluing their workers and even not paying their vendors for weeks on end.
I have nothing against anyone at Cookies & Cream apart from the owner that has taken over management. I hope this review is helpful. I am only sharing the truth of my...
Read moreWent in tonight and had a disappointing experience. After talking this place up to basically anyone who would listen, I brought my best friend here on a Saturday night. It was 8:30, the line was long, and there were only two people working--they were clearly overwhelmed. We got up to order and they were out of most of their cookies. We were told they only had sugar, oatmeal raisin, kitchen sink, and red velvet left. Disappointing but fine, my friend and I both ordered their giant ice cream sandwiches with sugar cookies. Turns out they actually didn't have enough sugar cookies. After making my friend's, they informed us they couldn't make mine with sugar cookies. I wasn't interested in any of the other cookies they had to offer so I was going to just ask for a refund. After a beat, the worker informed me that they also had macadamia nut (suspicious since that wasn't initially offered). So I get macadamia nut with vanilla ice cream. They scraped the bottom of the barrel for vanilla ice cream instead of just telling me they didn't have enough so there was barely any vanilla ice cream on my sandwich. My suspicions about the macadamia nut were confirmed when I realized the cookies were rock hard. After waiting in line for 30+ minutes and paying $10+ for an ice cream sandwich, I expected more. I understand that the workers were definitely overwhelmed, but the experience was below subpar. The owners need to staff more people on Saturday and clearly need to work on their inventory. Also, perhaps don't sell stale cookies to...
