First and foremost, THANK YOU to the entire team for their unwavering commitment to excellence, but two individuals truly stood out as stars in making our stay and my sister's 1920s themed 40th birthday party a remarkable success – Joseph, the Innkeeper, and Zena, the Inn Manager.
Joseph – The Innkeeper Extraordinaire: From the moment we stepped foot into InnBuffalo, Joseph's warm and welcoming demeanor set the tone for our stay. He not only made us feel at home but went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our visit was impeccable. His attention to detail, passion for the property's history, and genuine desire to make our experience extraordinary were evident at every turn. Joseph even recommended vendors to help elevate our event even more. All were incredible! He even surprised us at the end of the event with Fireworks. Best part, he even dressed to the nines in 1920s flair. All of our guests were blown away with his charm and hospitality.
Zena – The Inn Manager Extraordinaire: Her dedication and professionalism in coordinating my sister's 1920s themed 40th birthday party were absolutely outstanding. Every intricate detail of the event was executed flawlessly, from the exquisite décor that transported us back in time to the impeccable service throughout the evening. She was even able to make magic happen when we added extra dinners VERY last minute. Zena's meticulous planning and unwavering commitment to making our celebration a success was evident in every aspect of the event. She made sure everything ran seamlessly, allowing us to relax and enjoy the evening to the fullest.
In addition to Joseph and Zena's exceptional contributions, the entire staff (housekeeping and breakfast team) at InnBuffalo demonstrated a level of service and hospitality that exceeded every expectation. The historic mansion itself is a true gem, exuding charm and character at every corner. The elegant ambiance, comfortable accommodations, and the delightful breakfasts added to our overall enjoyment. We also took part in their Saturday morning yoga. They had a live celloist playing- it was beyond beautiful. I was truly in awe.

When we visited to see if it might work as a wedding venue, Joe gave us a full tour of the house, showing us every available room, explaining the history of the house, and helping us imagine how the ceremony and reception could flow through the beautiful spaces. It’s clear that he wants every guest to appreciate its charm and history as much as he does. By the end of that first meeting, we knew we had found the right place. It was perfect for our ceremony and reception and as the home base for all of our guests.
During the months of planning, Molly, their wonderful events coordinator, was an absolute lifesaver. She was organized, kind, and always quick to respond. Every question we had was answered right away. She helped us plan out guest accommodations, coordinate the timeline, and even found a fantastic musician to play during our ceremony. We truly could not have had such a smooth, successful wedding without her.
When our wedding weekend finally arrived, the staff at InnBuffalo exceeded every expectation. We had booked the entire bed and breakfast, and having all of our friends and family under one roof made the whole experience feel even better than expected. The inn became our home for the weekend. Joe was constantly on hand. He was helpful, accommodating, and full of genuine warmth. Molly was everywhere at once, making sure every detail went perfectly, checking in with us and our wedding party, and quietly keeping everything running behind the scenes.
Our guests were blown away by the hospitality. Joe even arranged airport pickups for those that needed it, which took a huge burden off our shoulders while we were busy with rehearsals and decorations. The inn’s facilities were perfect for our needs, as well. The downstairs game room was a huge hit with our friends the night before the wedding, and, after the ceremony, we hosted a relaxed movie night in the garden using our own projector and screen. There were plenty of chairs, the atmosphere was cozy, and it felt like the celebration just kept going.
When it came to food, Molly made sure everyone’s dietary needs were handled gracefully and easily. Nothing ever felt like an inconvenience. Every request was met with a solution. Throughout the entire stay, every member of the InnBuffalo team was friendly, professional, and truly cared about making our experience unforgettable.
Every single one of our guests has told us the same thing: when they come back to Buffalo, they’ll be staying at InnBuffalo again. There really isn’t a better place to stay in the city, especially for the price. The hospitality, warmth, and attention to detail are unmatched.

Read moreWhen my sister told me she wanted a Bridgerton themed Tea Party for her baby shower, I thought I would struggle to find a venue that could accommodate her vision. The Inn's Tea Party package was exactly what I needed, and the venue's garden was the perfect location for the touch of elegance she was hoping for. From the start, I worked with Molly, who answered every question (quickly, I might add!), eased every worry, and took care of every detail. Upon arriving the day-of, Joe (Innkeeper) met me outside to help make sure setup was taken care of and everything was being handled to our expectations. We were lucky enough to get to enjoy both the interior of the inn for cocktails, as well as the outside garden for tea, so the guests got the full experience throughout the event. The food was exceptional (the mother-to-be is a pastry chef and commented on how delicious everything was), and everyone getting their own teapot and selection of tea options truly enhanced the experience for the individual. Throughout the event, I had multiple staff members politely check-in to make sure our needs were being met, and at the end, staff assisted with helping us load gifts into my vehicle and clean up our centerpieces and decorations (which were minimal, as the aesthetics of the venue were beautiful enough).
I have both attended and hosted many showers, events, etc., both at the personal and corporate level, and this was easily the most seamless to plan, and the most beautiful to attend. I have honestly never worked with a more attentive or polite group of people. I had many guests find me to tell me it was the most breathtaking party they'd ever been to. I wish I could give more...
