Penzeys Spices — Local services in Buffalo

Wonderful spice store! I found this company because I needed some of their jars for a school project. I am so happy that I was introduced to the wonderful, high end products and inclusive and kind culture that the owner cultivates. The products are a little more expensive than other spice brands but with the discounts it ends up being pretty close in the end. I will say the spices are much better quality than what you get in the grocery store. And they have wonderful custom spice blends which make cooking easy and more fun. There are also premade boxes which have made wonderful and unique gifts for other cooks in my life.

This store is still curbside shopping only. You will need to place an order online and choose in store pick up. Once your order is ready you will receive a phone call and arrange a time you are able to pick up. Your order will be placed inside the front door. They are not accepting orders over the phone right now so just go right to the online store. I wasn’t aware of this when I went last week but I was lucky that my order was ready in about an hour and I was able to grab after I finished my other errands.

Sign up for their emails and you will get discounts and some free spices. I have come across and tried many new things this way. The emails are written by the owner, Bill, who is always optimistic and wishes the best for humanity as a whole. His words are always a highlight and offer a new outlook on some hard days this past year.

There is no other place from which I will purchase spices, but Penzeys on Elmwood. Their selection is absolutely incredible. I also love receiving the specials via e-mail. A couple of months ago, all I had to do was walk through the front door and ask for the special at that time, which totaled just under $40. There are never any catches and the customer service is great too. I love the mug I received for free last year (and now I have to make myself a cup of Joe). My compliments to Bill and the gang at the Elmwood store for making my meals inspirational and full of flavor from the spices I buy at Penzeys. Personally, I am quite the critic when it comes to what will make my gastronomy a bit better. Penzeys gets my approval as the best establishment for customer recognition via the deals and of course the spices from all over the world. You have certainly outdone yourself with customer satisfaction. Kudos to all for making my visits always memorable...

Love this company. My last visit, they took my online order, sent it to the local store, who gathered up my order for me, bagged it, called me to ask when I could pick it up, and had my spices bagged and labeled and waiting at the front door. I was able to open the door, grab my order and go, that quickly. Their fresh and varied spices and blends are the best out there. If you love to cook and care about the quality of your ingredients, you'll love Penney's Spices. The pandemic is making it tough to pop in and browse and sniff the sample canisters to get a sense of what each spice or blend smells like, so I suggest you start with their sample packets to test their products before committing to larger bottles of their spices.
