In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little, yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face, is that in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so. But there are times when a critic truly risks something, and that is in the discovery and defense of truly amazing shawarma and sweets. The world is often unkind to foreign talent, foreign creations. The foreign needs friends. Just now, I experienced something both foreign and local: an extraordinary meal from a singularly unexpected source. To say that both the meal and its makers have challenged my preconceptions about arabic cuisine is a gross understatement. They have rocked me to my core. In the past, I have made no secret of my admiration for their famous motto, "Do you want garlic sauce?" But I realize, only now do I truly understand what they mean. Theyre very helpful and friendly! All the guys that work there are such sweethearts! Every person I have brought to try this chicken has raved about it. You can't stop eating it. One of my favorite places. It's a very small place so it's more suited for takeout. I never have an issue with parking, which is great. I review restaurants regularly and rarely give five stars...but this is one place that has never been disappointing! I hope they...
