One evening, my two college roommates invited me to a bar for drinks and socializing. As the night began, I ordered a non-alcoholic beverage before planning to order a cocktail. However, before I could do so, the restaurant owner who was also our bartender ordered security to have me removed. Instead of addressing me directly, the security guard approached my two friends and informed them that I needed to leave. Notably, both of my friends were Caucasian, and I was the only person of color in the establishment . My friends were shocked and upset. Wanting to avoid conflict and not ruin the night, I proceeded to order an alcoholic beverage and remained at the establishment. However, the owner continued making obscene gestures toward the security guard, seemingly frustrated that I was still there. Feeling unwelcome, we decided to settle our tab and leave. This experience was one of the most disheartening encounters of my life.

Wow….Griffin’s Irish Pub absolutely just became my new go to breakfast spot in the Buffalo area. I’ve eaten here before and always loved it, but this was my first time coming in for breakfast and I was blown away.
I ordered the Irish Fry-Up and a half order of the biscuits and gravy, and let me tell you, the portions are huge! Thick cut bacon, quality sausage, perfectly cooked eggs, crispy rye toast and the best biscuits and gravy I’ve had up north.
This place is seriously one of the most underrated breakfast spots in Western NY. Totally worth checking out if you’re a breakfast person…and from what I’ve been told, brunch on the weekends are great too….Can’t wait...
Read morePlace looked scetchy upon first pulling up. Once inside was small and bumping with energy, was greeted very friendly and music was good. Menu looked small but ordered fried pickles, loaded nachos and had 2 orders of wings. Food came in a timely mannor and wow, food was done to perfection, wings crispy, fried pickles with big pickles and less dough which is how they should be done.
