Was ordering the other day through the drive-thru. Ordered a Chicken Fajita for myself, A BBQ burrito for my friend, and then went to order a BBQ Burrito with coleslaw and specified it was for someone with a dairy allergy, so no cheese. The staff then told us not to get the coleslaw because it had dairy. The person who had the dairy allergy also used to work at mighty taco and ordered this many times, so they were confused by this but greatful that the staff was trying to be diligent.
Continuing through and curious, I asked what in the coleslaw was dairy (milk products). We were met with the employee who in a very rude tone said "I'm so glad that you asked that" and held up the box with the ingredients. He proceeded to then yell at us, "AS YOU CAN SEE HERE IT CLEARLY STATES EGGS!" When we tried to clarify what dairy was we were met with combativeness and ignorance. They said they never had to deal with a dairy allergy but they were trying to save our lives. Then justified themselves by saying "eggs and milk have been in the same section of the grocery aisle my whole life!" even though eggs don't come from cows.
The server proceeded to insult us to his coworker with the drive-thru window closed. We could hear him because he was yelling for the entire interaction. Extremely...
Read moreI really don't care what the "supposed" Mexican food experts might say about Mighty, because being stationed at Camp Pendleton in Oceanside CA many years ago I know plenty about 'authentic' Mexican food. That being said, I completely agree that Mighty Taco is obviously NOT authentic Mexican food. That being said, I absolutely LOVE Mighty! They are unpretentious, they are very cheap (in price and NOT quality) and they are FAST! You gotta love a restaurant that applies Sour Cream in a tube using a caulk gun! Get this straight, and commit it to memory. Mighty Taco is "Buff-Mex" which to me is a really cool combination. They combine good tacos and burritos with Buffalo foods. They have been around since I was a young boy when my Dad took me to their original location on Hertel Avenue. The only thing that I change about them would be to return with their original ground beef seasoning that they used prior to about 2006, if memory serves me. That seasoning was much spicier and tastier than what they offer today, but I work around that by just adding some Red Savina Habanero pepper sauce into the mix. I do LOVE me some fine Mighty! Gimme two El Nino burritos, wheat tortilla, Hot, NO tomatoes, and sour...
Read moreI usually love this place, grew up in North Buffalo so I've been eating Mighty Tacos for many years! Except now I'm afraid to order, I haven't gotten a order correct in the past year... I always say I'd never go back, then a month or so goes by and I find myself saying oh let's give them another try, so I do and now I'm pissed off, I ordered 3 beef and cheese burritos and a nacho deluxe, (this is where it goes wrong. Mind you I told her 3 time how I wanted it) light salsa, xx nacho cheese, that doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand how to make it!¡!¡ So of course when I got home opened my Nachos, it was xxxx salsa, very little cheese! I'm done dealing with incompetent kids who have no clue how to read, have 0 manners and wouldn't take a complaint cuz it was closing?? Seriously said to call tomorrow if I want to complain!¡!¡!¡!¡! Hope someone sees this and makes changes... This was at the N. Buffalo location on...
