Subway — Restaurant in Buffalo

If I can give this place less than 1 star I so would. It’s the night before Christmas Eve, so I expected it to be a little busy due to last minute shopping. I go in with my mom and her husband for a quick bite. Soon as we walking in a thin girl with brown hair said “Just to let you guys know I’m the only one working tonight.” First of all, how is it that on one of the busiest nights of the year there’s only one person working? Second of all she said it with an attitude as if she wanted us to leave. About 5 minutes goes by and she’s still working on the same sub and putting on ingredients extra slow, while looking at the line of people. Again, pretty much hoping that people will leave so it’s less worse on her. As people start to walk out, a man puts $5 in the tip jar and says “F this place” while walking out. We decided to wait a few more minutes and she still was taking her sweet old time. We decided to leave. Been going to this location for years, never had a problem. This location had written both online and on the front of the location that they open at 9am. We had gotten there two minutes early and saw they had already had their open sign on and lit up. We waiting till 9 to try the door and the employee inside simply looked over at us and shook his head no, assuming that meant they weren’t quite ready to open yet. So we waited in the rain for about 2-3 minutes. After that we gestured to the employee to see if they were opening the doors anytime soon and he simply shook his head no again and we followed up by asking through the glass door when they were opening and after a small exchange of having to yell through the door because he wouldn’t come to the door and politely informed us he wasn’t opening until 10am we informed him the sign said 9am and we had no choice but to leave. The online information states this location opens at 9am which others state 10am and why we chose to come to this location to begin with. Usually a pleasant place to eat. However, today’s experience not so much. On the website it’s say closes 9pm. I’ve been there plenty of times a bit before 9 and was services with no issue. Today I arrived 8:30pm. When I walked in there was 3 young ladies that I hadn’t recognized at this location before. cleaning and putting food away. I was told immediately that they were closing. I asked if they closed at 9 as the website said so and was told again they are closing. From my understanding closed at 9 pm means lock the door, clean, put things away AT 9pm not 30 mins to 9. After a few more exchanged words with the young lady she started to make my sub with a visible attitude. 3 other people came in after me and she also turned them away . Telling them they are closing. My sub was hardly toasted as I requested because she has already turned the oven off and tried melting my cheeses from the heat that was left due to the oven still being warm. This should not be tolerated by the owner as he will lose lots of money. I hope he checks...
