Bread & Breakfast - Burbank — Restaurant in Burbank

I had the chance today to come try this place out in the morning. I checked to see what time they open and came exactly when they did so finding parking would be easier since it's in a plaza with limited parking. I wasn't sure at first if they were open because the Open sign wasn't turned on so I waited for another customer to walk inside first. The place has some seating inside if you want to dine there. I got the burrito with carne asada and bacon, be aware that it is little more in the price than a traditional breakfast burrito. It tooked about 20 minutes for my burrito to be ready when I was the second guest right when they open. I took it home to eat and the burrito is a good portion of meat, asada and etc so I think that's why they charge a little higher. The staff are very friendly during the brief interaction I had with them. I didn't really like the green sauce that came with the burrito but it does have a kick in term of spice. I had some leftover pico de Gallo and red sauce from Chipotle so I used that with my burrito which I think made a big difference. I visited Bread and Breakfast this morning for breakfast before starting my busy LA realtor workday, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for kicking off a productive day.

I decided to try their basturma burrito, and it was nothing short of amazing. The flavors were bold and perfectly balanced, with the rich, savory basturma complemented by fresh ingredients and just the right amount of spice. It was hearty and satisfying without being overly heavy – exactly what I needed to fuel my morning.

The staff were friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. The service was quick, which was a big plus since I was on a tight schedule.

Basturma Burrito 🌯🇦🇲

The Basturma has a subtle smokiness and was well-spiced. I think the air drying process gave it a very concentrated beefiness which had a great umami taste. The eggs were cooked just right without being too chewy nor too wet to make the tortilla soggy. I think it would have preferred the hash browns a smidge crispier to contrast with the wetter/softer ingredients. And a bit more pan searing of the burrito may give it a nice toastiness. I do have to be honest though that, considering the price of the burrito, I was expecting a bigger portion. Also, the sauces were very good! The creamy one had a solid herb blend and mouth feel. And I thought the other one had a refreshing lightness to it.

All in all, a nice blend of flavors, but just needed a bit of a bigger portion to let the flavors tie together. A nice experience with good...
