Adana Restaurant — Restaurant in Glendale

We live in orange county and used to live in Glendale. We came to glendale for some business and decided to eat in this place which we used to dine frequently. In a 92°F hot day they have no air conditioning working. Thay had no soap in the unisex restroom. when I mentioned it to the server she only said oh..Ok.. I ordered a ground beef kabob with rice which traditionally come with grilled tomatoes. A man possibly owner came with a bossy attitude and asked me if I wanted the grilled tomato or salad, I said I thought ground beef kabobs automatically come with tomato and he replied aggressively what DoYou mean??..every restaurant has their own menu.. terrible way talking to a customer. I have a restaurant with over 400 seats and 60 employees . My employees will be fired if they treat customers like that only once. Food had a good portion but mediocre quality. Ground beef tasted a bit off .cherry for the rice seemed comming right out of can and put on top of rice. Toasted Bread was cold and burned. Prices are high for the comfort , food quality and customer service. No wonder place had only one table with customer on the weekend... This place was very good 5 years ago and now has gone down...

First visit. Net net: Adana serves fabulously fabulous food in an unpretentious atmosphere, with fast and courteous service at affordable prices -- well suited for large family-style dinners. I had the beef combo plate with safran rice and roasted tomato. My wife had the chicken kabob plate with saffron & sour cherry rice and a cup of mint, tomato and cucumber salad. The chicken was roasted, succulent & sweet. The meat was barbecued, tender and tangy. We shared an appetizer -- the small roasted eggplant dip, which came with onions and chili on the side. The homemade pita chips are a treat and easy to fill up on, what with the dips and dinner side of hummus. Yum. I totally love the food it’s very delicious. I have been at the restaurant once and met the owner and he’s super nice. I normally order for about 10 or more people at work for delivery. The one thing I am not very pleased with is the person the answers the phone. He’s very rude not willing to take the orders just because I called at 10 am to place my order so that it could be delivered on time for lunch. I was told to call back at 11 to place my order this is not the first time he does that. And it’s very disappointing to get this kind of service specially since we always order from this place. So I guess today I’ll just be ordering from the nice Thai Saraya restaurant that’s always happy to take my order and...
