1.5 Minute read. IKEA! What! you say you haven't been there? Don't feel bad. Not everyone has been there. Remember LEVITZ? Ikea is sort of like that. But improved. If you haven't been there, you'll get lost. Just follow the arrows placed on the floor and ceiling. Anyway, when you need household furnishings, kitchen utensils, towels, floor matts and all that kind of stuff, IKEA will save you money. Many of their items, you put together yourself, but, don't fret none. The instructions are so simple, I believe even a ‘stable genius could follow them easily. IKEA is a fun place to shop. If you take your darling kids, make them behave and not let them jump around like crickets on a lamp post. Thanks. UPDATE (08/31/2024) It’s been 3 years, I’m told, since my last @IKEA review. Though it’s true, it doesn’t mean my wife (Josie) and I haven’t been there. We have, today (08/31/2024) is one of those times. Josie needed some floor mats that would keep her new set of wheels’ floor clean, and looking sharp. That was this A.M., when IKEA opened. She saw what we needed and bought it. Before I forget, since we arrived early, the IKEA cafeteria was still serving breakfast, so we waltzed on over, got some scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, a couple of crepes and of course, coffee. It was delicious. I would’ve preferred their food to be served hotter than it was, as it is dished out ahead of time, before you pick it up and it can cool off faster than you think. Additionally, the steam table pans used, to hold the scrambled eggs, bacon, crepes, hash browns and Swedish meatballs, should have the shift manager concerned, as using the wrong steam table insert (pan) can and does contribute to food losing heat excessively PLUS … plus the food items can dry out and appear unsightly. I was going to give this mornings’ shift Manager (Jose Arroyo) some tips, but I saw how busy he was so I let it go. Next time. I would like to commend two employees that were OUTSTANDING, during our cafeteria visit: The Cashier was Very friendly, smiling, courteous and service minded. I read her Name Badge but fail to recall it now. Her Cashier ID is 10109050. Joseph, a very affable young man, was in charge maintaining the condiment stations’ plasticware, cups, coffee, creamers, etc behind the Cashiers. He has other duties, as you’ll see in the photos. Well, I’ve bored you enough. But in closing, go to IKEA and if for nothing else, get their delicious Swedish Meatballs. Thanks. The price...

Read moreI love IKEA, almost all my furniture is from this location alone! Love the way no one comes up to me to try and sell me things I don't want like every other furniture store, which is why I enjoy this place so much. Minimal human interaction unless you initiate it with the friendly staff that is always around when needed. Except today. I purchased a few things downstairs including a large piece of furniture. Unfortunately the item was not located in the self-serve shelves so I had to go to the pick-up section on the right. Made my way there after dropping off small items and relocating my car to the loading zone. My order number time limit hit zero and changed to "verifying order." I went up to the attendant to ask if the order was ready and they mentioned "it will be ready shortly." I'm used to waiting, I'm a military service member, our popular motto is "hurry up and wait!" So I went to purchase a slice of pizza and then went to the restroom. It was about a 20 minute adventure so I made my way back to the pick-up station. My order now finally said "ready for pick-up" I waited at the counter for an additional 38 minutes listening to several yellow-vested attendants on the other side of the cordoned-off section talk about "breaks and where certain coworkers were and what plans they had after work" before finally one of them came out and asked me if I "needed something" which I replied with "yes, my furniture please, here's my order number" They turned around mumbled something incoherent to their other coworkers and glided my furniture kindly to me. Mind you there were 4 other customers behind me with their order numbers in the "Ready for Pickup" status. Terrible customer service on the pick-up side, I hope they're not actual IKEA employees, the ones on the floor and registers are kind, cheerful, and so very helpful. Also DETOLF glass cabinets are now $109.99, an 83.34% price increase in two years (they were $59.99). Wonderful, pictures...
