Baaaad experience at this dive. Loaded with daily locals getting their drink on. Protected by management. How do i know this? Wifey slipped on a just mopped floor going to the ladies room (no warning signs out) and may have a torn ACL. She limped to the table and told waitress people should be warned before it happens to someone else. Well, waitress told manager who low and behold was sitting next to our table have drinks with several men. This was a bad move... manager took offense and began her defense: no one mops here unless i tell them to, that floor was not mopped (Mop visibly leaning on post in path to restroom), two witnesses to the fall suddenly disappear (i believe they were employees and they stated it had just been moped) and manager pacing back and forth out of hearing range obviously distraught. Wife was injured but it was obvious we were outnumbered and assumed to be hustlers or something. The manager (who would not give her name for some reason) stated there were cameras at every angle in the restaurant and she could prove mopping had not taken place. We were not arguing to point and just asked for the check. A man from her entourage (not an employee) went behind the bar and brought out a sack of ice and headed it to my wife to ease her swelling (it was obvious to him as well). She did use the ice pack but the pain was to great and we had to leave. We asked for the check and our waitress was dismissed from our table and the manager took over. We refused to accept a comp and tried to pay making several efforts to no avail. We agreed and began to leave... this is when the manager walked over to my wife in the foyer and tossed the bag of ice at her and said "here, you may need this!" with a very sarcastic tone. We were offended by her actions and said so. Then a friend of hers that she had been drinking with followed us outside talking abrasively towards us. We continued to our car with drunk friend of the manager Brandon Wiggins and the female manager close behind and berating us. We were at a loss for words, we had fallen and been injured in the restaurant, still offered to pay our bill (multiple times) and had said a cross word to anyone. Yet here they were, at our car side (my wife's side by the way) talking to us in a harassing way. This went on for about ten minutes. We became defensive as they followed us and then surrounded our car. They continued to harass us as we attempted to leave peacefully. A terrible experience to say the least. I recorded a great deal the harassment and an admission by the manager of fault. We left before their friends could arrive and felt lucky we got out of there before the Miranda's drinking gang showed up as mr wiggins was constantly on the phone calling for backup i surmised. I have all of this on video and will have it uploaded to youtube as soon as possible so that others can decide.... Would you want to be in this position? Avoid...
Read moreHave to be a local to find way to restuarant or be a motel guest. No signage off Renfro to place. No dance floor for live entertainment. Have to be tolerant of smokers to hear band no sound system . They could knock wall and put live music between smokers and non smokers and have small dance floor to boot. Owner operators cannot understand normal thinking. Some drinkers have to bring their own juices to get a fruit drink libation. Wait staff does not know menu so if you want sometime not spicy you have to know your way around a mexican hot and spicey food groups. Could use a sound system to listen footbal game if you do not have your own phone to listen to game that does not have any bearing on state conferences. Staff at front door donot present you with options of seating. They even asked if I was going to game tomorrow on thursday nite when game is on Saturday. Place was 70 % busy on Thursday nite so could rearrange for better flow of traffic pattern and all the dru ks myself included have to wander into family area 2 P with no signage to restrooms . Must do good business with locals by Texas plates on trucks and junker cars. Nice sixe parking spots for overgrown toy trucks. Could use tire deflects to protect building and patrons . Some nite a drunk will back into restuarant and make to place famous. As for me it took 4 hours to sober up to write this epistle about a woman named Miranda or was it called Randy's. I do get my sex's messed up and that a dangerous thing to do in TEXAS HA Ha ha alive and well in Hell I mean Tejas the true spelling ? Right Spain BBVA Banking all that México and Mexican food groups! Ye Haw all you cowboys and caballeros! Could go national franchise with deniro and management like "On...
Read moreTables were dirty, waitresses barely checked on you, it takes you forever to get menus and even silverware. My husband ordered beef fajitas, I ordered taco meat chimichangas. We ordered a thing of queso. Half the chips were stale, the queso was over cumbered with a garlic taste. My husband received the "fixings" before his fajitas, 5 minutes later he received his fajitas, but we still didn't have silverware, it wasn't until the fajitas were halfway cold that we were finally given utensils to eat with. He took one bite and his fajitas were BURNT, the bell pepper and onions were not cooked like they should've been. My chimichanga tasted like PURE SALT! Disgusting. We waited over 40 minutes for her to even come by to ask if we needed to-go boxes. Once we told her she said she'd talk to the manager. The manager at first told us we'd pay half, half for food we didn't/couldn't eat?? Thankfully before we left they voided our entire ticket. Safe to say, never coming back here. So sad, before the renovation they were SO good, but they've gone too...
