Upon arrival I gave the hostess my reservation and she questioned whether I chose the right restaurant or not. I showed her my reservation from Google in which she replied they “One of the fastest technology companies in the world.” we’re slow at getting the reservation which I had done hours ago to them.
Solution : Instead of redirecting blame 2 times. Take ownership and say not a problem sir. We will fix it.
30 minutes later we finally get a table. She sits us under the air conditioning unit with fans above us. At this point my wife was freezing, but didn’t want to go outside due to bugs.
Solution : Ask the guest if the table is suitable to their needs.
During service the waiter came by and filled our glasses with water and right away we placed a drink order for tea and a Hot Pretzel appetizer. 20 more minutes pass and the waiter finally returns to take our order which we both placed adding fried mushrooms requesting they be served when the food comes out. 10 minutes later both appetizers arrive.
Solution : Write things down and inform the cook with proper notes to make sure the guests order is correctly presented at the right times.
Upon receiving our food the Mac and Cheese side was cold and the cheese wasn’t fully cooked into the meal leaving a horrible taste composition. The hamburger had a jalapeño just thrown on it, the meat was slightly burnt and they did not remove the bacon. My wife’s meal however was fine. I forgot to mention that the waiter still hasn’t returned yet and the meal was brought out by a separate person.
Solution : Follow up with the guest and make sure the food was properly prepared to their requests
Finally, We finished our meal. I maybe took 2 bites from the burger and one from the Mac. My wife finished her meal. The waiter still hasn’t returned. At this time another lady came by and asked if we needed anything. We said a to go box and the check. During this whole time the waiter is helping other tables. Food was coming out before ours and my wife was still freezing. Finally, After waiting another 5 minutes we got up and went to the hostess to pay for our order.
The waiter who was no where to be seen chased us down took our payment. I politely tipped 20% and said nothing.
Solution : Plenty of staff workers, proper coverage of employees, and not overly booked. Wait that’s the visibility…. The real fix is customer service.
I am saddened by this visit as the chef is a good friend of my Wife, but this visit fell well below par.
It will be a long while before we visit again.

Read moreLocation: Went on a Tuesday for dinner. Was sat in the area left of the kitchen. The decor in there is very different and obviously a major afterthought compared to the rest of the place. The carpet looks 20yrs older than the building and the seating and tables look like they bought them second hand. Everything is a disconnect from the main section of the restaurant, nothing matches. You wont find any photos of this section on the Google reviews photos and probably for good reason.
Service: was promptly seated. Ordered pretzel appetizer. When the employee brought it out to the table, she spilled the mustard cup onto the table almost into the lap of my date, she did immediately clean it up and brought a replacement. The cheese had ok flavor but I stopped eating it once I found a stray black hair in it. (Note: none of the cooking staff were wearing hairnets or beard coverings).
For drinks, water is provided but no ice, just a chilled bottle and empty cups, so its not cold but for a few moments. I ordered an IPA at the servers recommendation and it was brought out quickly. I was never offered another after I finished it.
For entrees, we ordered the cobb salad with jalapeno ranch, and the chicken & waffles. The cobb salad came first and by itself, by a different server, and was missing the dressing. We were told the chicken & waffles were still being prepared and she walked away before we could inquire about the dressing, so we waited a few minutes before the initial server came over to update about the other dish and she noticed that they not only forgot the dressing but didnt bring the dishes out at same time. Eventually the other dish came out and also the dressing for the cobb. The quantity and flavor of both dishes were good, the chicken being quite nice. They should consider offering the chicken by itself as an entrée, perhaps even a boneless option. No desert for us, the portion sizes were plenty. I wasn't offered another beer but I'd likely have not wanted one anyways.
Final thoughts: There are some glaring quality of service issues and sanitary practices to be addressed, and the decor of all seating areas really needs to match and have the same effort of quality to maintain...
Read moreWent last night for me and my husband’s anniversary. It was such a disappointing experience as we have usually had great food and service. Our biggest issue of the night was when I ordered the tenderloin with a medium rare cook. One of the waitresses brought it out and asked if I could cut it to make sure it was cooked correctly. It appeared to be almost well done, and she insisted on having it remade to make sure I got what I ordered (great customer service). After about 10-15 minutes, I’m assuming the manager (man dressed in a short sleeve button down shirt) brought my remake, but dropped it off and left and never came back the rest of the night. I cut into it and it was rare. Our waiter came to check on us after about 10 minutes of the food being dropped off, where he did apologize. He then brought us to go boxes 5 min later. I was a little confused by it because we didn’t ask for them and I had nothing to take to go, as I had already informed him my meal was incorrectly cooked again and I didn’t want it. I didn’t take a single bite of it or put it in the to go box. It took forever to get the check, probably about 15 minutes at least. When we received it, we noticed that my $41 meal was on there. We had to inform our waiter again we didn't want it, which I thought was understood when he checked on us and apologized. He took my plate off the table and brought the check back with the $41 meal taken off. Nothing else comped, which I felt was honestly a bit tacky as I only was able to enjoy the appetizer we ordered. As I said at the beginning, we usually have had great service and great food. The customer service was off from the beginning from our waiter, and he seemed really preoccupied restocking glasses and plates rather than checking on us. Had the manager stayed to ensure my meal was cooked correctly, he would’ve found out at that moment it was cooked wrong a second time and he could have recovered a part of the disappointing evening with proper customer service and attentiveness. The most positive interaction we had there was with the waitress who dropped off my meal the first time, who made what I wanted a priority. We won’t be returning to celebrate any special occasions in the...
