TLDR; Go here and get espresso drinks and baked goods that are far better and have more variety than any chains. They're also a small local unit and absolutely deserve your business.
We live quite literally across the street and always come here. They're my favorite coffee/cookie/ammo/motorcycle repair shop I've ever been to. My friend who moved to Sweden had a blast showing her non American friends the sheer 'Murican-ness of such a combination.
The baked goods are always insanely good. I'll do morally questionable things for them "pop tarts" they make. My wife occasionally will just pull up a picture from their social media of whatever's been made and off I go across the street. We check the monthly specials every time too.
The coffee is genuinely good. It's primarily espresso drinks and they don't mess around. Easily better than any chain coffee and actually tastes like whatever it's supposed to be. (And they get creative).
They'll have drip coffee in the cooler months and cold brew when it's hot--and both are really good. I actually use my reward points for small bags of beans instead of free drinks and then make the drip at home.
When I walk in it's mostly just a gab session and I walk out with coffee and cookies. At this point they know our whole family story.
And hey they have free compost bags from the beans if you...
Read moreThis is my second or third time visiting. I have a friend who lives nearby and swears it's the best coffee shop around.
Pros: excellent coffee. It's probably the best dirty pumpkin chai I have ever had. Smooth, nutty flavor with just the right amount of sweet without being too sweet. Service is excellent as they ask you how you want the coffee and they are happy to modify drinks for you. Just a very friendly and welcoming place. While there isn't seating inside there is a table and benches outside.
Cons: I wish the outside was more inviting and structured for a longer hang out session. Yes, there is a table and 2 benches out there but just doesn't have the "come hang out" vibe. It kinda feels more like a "sit here while I make your coffee" kind of a table/bench.
But...I just read a book about how a businesses should focus more on what they do well instead of trying to be everything for everyone. So...maybe they should just keep on making fantasy coffee and leave the tables alone. Idk. The book is called "Different" by Youngme Moon....
Read moreThey don't have Coffee. They only sell sugar drinks. Was told for years by employees they have drip coffee on Saturdays. However, I have gone in many Saturdays and they have never had it. I live less than a mile away and offered to pay for a whole pot of coffee and stop by every day. But was told that wouldn't work. I do not like espresso or coffee made into espresso. It is very bitter. Therefore I do not like Americano's. I really wish this coffee shop would make a few little changes that would not cost them any...
