I unfortunately am not a fan of this hotel restaurant.
The best thing I had here was the brussels sprouts and chips. I liked that it was crispy and had bacon bits in between. The pricing however is super high.
The worst thing I had here were the chicken tacos. It doesn't come with any sides and only the 3 tacos. The tortillas are super dry and unflavored. The chicken itself tasted really rubbery and possibly just reheated. And there were few toppings on the the taco itself. The salsa provided is simply a knockoff pico de gallo that has no spice. They do have Tapatio at the very leas. Again, the pricing felt super high with that Doubletree premium.
I also got soda water as well.
All of this came out to $40+ which I felt was super unsatisfactory.
The waiter was bright and cheery at the very least while the hostess was not very happy to be there.
You can find the restaurant near the back of the first floor strangely positioned in one of the halls.
I think there are better options as long as you're willing to drive...
Read moreWe were at this restaurant on a Friday evening, and found it convenient to dine here since we were staying at the hotel that night, Prior to flying back to Wisconsin at the end of our vacation. We had been traveling in San Francisco and Yosemite for about nine days, and the dinner I had at 37 North was one of the two best meals of the entire vacation. I had the Moroccan spiced pork chop with carrots, broccoli and fingerling potatoes. The pork chop and vegetables were cooked to perfection, seasoning and spices were outstanding. My only complaint is that this restaurant is completely open to the loud bar area. I think it would be wonderful if the hotel would add some sort of wall or separation between the noisy bar area in the dining area. Although I really enjoyed my first mixed drink from the bar, the second one I ordered (same drink) tasted completely different and was not nearly as good as the first drink. I believe it was called Planters Punch (rum drink), Or...
Read moreFood was good, not great, but very good for Hotel restaurant/bar. Quasi Bar nibbles and cuisine. Resonably priced. Service is excellent, and it's open late. Best thing: There was a very good jazz quartet playing! They should have had them book till 10 pm. The Negitive:. DoubleTree needs to invest in a remodel of bar, restaurant, lounge area. Decor is dated "70"s. Horrid orange tones in 70's stlye! 70's dinin furniture. Should invest in new carpets, new furniture, and updated design. Perhaps some higer tables and stools in a line near the bar to create some separation from the bar. Perhaps a ring of small round tables around the corner used for the band and fireplace area. Perhaps a contemporary decorative piece on the backside of the TV lounge sofas to better define it and separate from the restaurant area while still keeping...
