I booked here primarily because I had an early flight out of SFO the next morning and the hotel was well suited for that purpose. It was fairly cheap and with good reviews I decided it was worthwhile to not have to hassle the next morning.||||Service during my short stay was solid but unspectacular. The hotel is situated pretty far from other areas so the primary purpose here is to be near the airport. ||||The room was decently large and for the most part, did not have any noticeable cleanliness issues. However, there were obvious signs of the room being highly outdated. The decor of the room seemed at least a decade or two old. The interior, non-blackout curtain for the window had a giant tear in it and the window itself appeared to not have been cleaned for some time. The baseboards of the walls had numerous black marks which appeared to be due to friction from furniture contacting it. The wallpaper was coming apart in various areas of the room. The beds were a mixed bag as well: the beds only had two pillows, although they were decently comfortable. The beds themselves are on the harder side and the blankets were quite thin and fairly rough.||||The bathroom was sizeable, similar to the main room, but also showed its age. The toilet appeared to be poorly anchored to the floor and the wallpaper in the bathroom was also peeling in spots. The shower curtain appeared to be stained pretty badly, although I couldn't tell if this was due to the lighting in the bathroom. ||||Breakfast in the morning was okay. There were two hot options (though I could not find out if it was a rotating menu as I only stayed one night) and the typical assortment of boiled eggs, yogurt, and breads. Both hot options were meat (bacon and sausage patties) the morning I had breakfast which seems a bit unbalanced. Otherwise, the breakfast wasn't bad and breakfast is available from 6-10 every morning, which makes it convenient if you're catching a morning flight. ||||The shuttle to the airport runs on a fixed schedule from 4 in the morning to around 10 at night. This means if you have a flight that arrives late at night, you're out of luck for the shuttle to the hotel since the shuttle isn't on demand. The shuttle also runs infrequently: every 45 minutes according to the schedule at the front desk, likely due to the fact that the shuttle operates for the Hampton Inn, Vagabond Inn Executive, and the Holiday Inn Express on Old Bayshore Highway. ||||The hotel does have good views of the approach path to SFO and is good for plane spotting, but for me, it doesn't outweigh the dated accommodations and erratically scheduled...

A Wonderful Stay at Bay Landing Hotel in Burlingame!

My recent stay at the Bay Landing Hotel in Burlingame was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment I arrived, the staff greeted me with warm smiles and efficient service, making me feel instantly welcome. The check-in process was quick and hassle-free, which was much appreciated after a long journey.

The room itself was a delight. It was spacious, impeccably clean, and well-appointed with all the necessary amenities, including a comfortable bed that ensured a restful night's sleep. Having a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker in the room added a touch of convenience that I greatly valued. The free Wi-Fi was reliable and easy to connect to, allowing me to stay connected seamlessly. One of the standout features of the Bay Landing Hotel is its excellent location. Situated conveniently close to the San Francisco International Airport, it's an ideal choice for travelers. The hotel also offers a complimentary airport shuttle service, which is a huge plus and saves the stress of arranging transportation. Despite its proximity to the airport, the hotel maintained a peaceful and quiet atmosphere, ensuring a tranquil stay. The complimentary breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options, catering to different tastes and preferences. It was a great way to start the day before heading out to explore the Bay Area. The breakfast area was well-maintained and the staff were attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.

Beyond the comfortable accommodations and convenient amenities, the exceptional service truly made my stay memorable. Every staff member I encountered was friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile. Their dedication to guest satisfaction was evident in every interaction.

While some reviews mention that the decor might be a bit dated, I found the hotel to be well-maintained and charming in its own way. The focus on cleanliness, comfort, and excellent service more than compensated for any minor stylistic preferences. Overall, my experience at the Bay Landing Hotel was outstanding. It offers a winning combination of a convenient location, comfortable rooms, excellent service, and great value. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and stress-free stay in the Burlingame area, especially those traveling to or from SFO. I will certainly be choosing the Bay Landing Hotel for any future trips...

I would give this hotel 5 star ratings across the board. The hotel amenities are great. Lovely room. Convenient free breakfast. No issues whatsoever with the quality of the facility. However, I cannot dismiss a situation involving a hostile, bossy, authoritative, unwelcoming desk clerk. I think her name is Ariella? She's stocky with long straight brown hair in a pony tail and glasses. When I arrived. I was stressed and in pain and needed plastic utensils for the food I'd ordered. Of course it's not her fault that the restaurant, which had nothing to do with her employers, did not put the utensils in the takeout bag. I did not know if I'd have to wait in line behind several other guests or if she'd have utensils to give me. She did. But she had to lecture me on how my behavior is terrible and there's no excuse. The following day, I locked myself out of my room. Has she never dealt with this before? I tried as hard as I could to calmly inform her of this. She stared coldly at me and asked me for an ID. Unfortunately the ID was locked in my room with my key. All she could do was stare coldly at me. I had no clue if she was going to let me get into my room or not. So I was not too happy as she did not offer any solutions yet boldly lectured me on how she does "not like the way I'm behaving". I need to change, on and on and on. I told her I will leave if she does not let me in my room and she boldly replied then I can leave. I think if she'd have prevented me from getting into my room, I'd have the right to leave and be refunded for my payment. At no time did she offer any solutions nor indicate that she'd find a way for me to get back into my room. She finally handed me the card. But her hostility and disrespect made me feel very unwelcome. It would seem desk clerks need to realize that guests are not their subordinates and I've never met any hotel staff member who has treated me this way when I simply ask for utensils for my food or for a key to my room when I...
