My son and I are in the process of visiting every Chinese restaurant in Chittenden County, VT. We always order the same thing. I order a chicken and broccoli combo with pork fried rice and an egg roll. My son orders a sesame chicken combo with pork fried rice and beef teriyaki sticks. Price: $29.86 or $.37/oz is expensive compared to what we would find in Chittenden County. Most Chinese takeout's allow you to exchange an egg roll for a different appetizer. In this case, we ordered beef teriyaki sticks instead of an egg roll for one of the combination meals. However, the person taking the order must have thought we ordered teriyaki sticks as a side dish, which contributed to the higher than usual price Portion: 5.1 lbs between the two meals is generous and above average in this region. Pros: - High traffic convenient location in Burlington. - The egg roll was super tasty, one of the most flavorful in this region - The pork fried rice had delicious flavor, quite remarkable - Provided 3 fortune cookies - Generous portions Cons: - They didn't provide soy sauce or duck sauce packets, napkins or utensils - Excessive vegetable oil was used to cook the pork fried rice - Sesame chicken recipe lacked flavor Impression: Convenient Burlington neighborhood location in Burlington offering generous sized portions of generally good tasting food at a price a bit higher than average earning China Express 2 a review of 3.5 stars.

Spent almost 70 bucks for dinner tonight from china express 2 and it was a HUGE disappointment!!! Let’s start with the PORK EGG ROLLS… I ordered four of them .. my kids only ate the “shell” of them because the filling was nothing like they’ve ever had! Definitely wasn’t pork egg rolls. The house special friend rice I ordered with no veggies except onions and it came with about 4 tiny shrimp 🍤 almost zero pieces of pork and most of the rice was hard lots of grease. The shrimp with broccoli and garlic sauce was flavorLESS no hints of garlic at all like NONE! Also ordered boneless BBQ ribs that were dried out and very tuff! They looked really good but after one bite I had to spit it out the after taste was as if it was going bad and NOBODY wants to end up with food poisoning so that dish was a total lost! After all that money spent I could never recommend this Chinese restaurant and I’ll never return ever. Sucks when u think your getting a nice treat for your family and saving yourself time in the kitchen only to have to still whip something up at home because not one of us was satisfied! Not impressed at all. This place was once my go to spot way back in the day! However ownership changed years ago and tonight I was reminded why I STOPPED spending my hard earned money here. Fu-da on pearl street in Burlington is a much better option UNFORTUNATELY they’re closed on Wednesday!

where the food is mediocre and they call and harass you about payments you've already made online despite offering to show them proof of payment upon arrival, but you can pay again and they will cancel it "if" i get charged twice and then tell you "whoops I called the wrong person" after arguing for 5 minutes. *^^edited to add, missing items from our order in addition to calls and texts from the driver asking me why I put up a less than stellar review.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! After 2 hours of waiting for food to get delivered, called to check on order status. Was told order was delayed due to computer issue but that it was now done and going put for delivery. After another half hour called back and spoke to a different employee who said the order had not been started and whoever we talked to before lied but then rettacked and said it was out for delivery. Finally received delivery after 3 hours after confirmed order and recieved two $5 coupons. But that is only the beginning. Open up bag and find three missing entrees and an extra tofu dish that was not ordered. Also most of the bag was cold (order had supposbaly been ready for an hour...). Called and told them what happened and they said they would make up the missing items right away. I asked how long since we had already been waiting 3 hours. Woman on the phone retracted and said she knows she put the missing items in the bag. I said i would send her photos or even bring the whole bag back!! She the hung up!! Not knowing if we were even going to receive the food, called back and was quoted an hour longer. Offered to pick up but they would not give an estimate on how much longer either. They just kept saying it was not their fault and that it was the computer system issue which was not their fault (but apparently the customers???). Asked for compensation since we were missing the food and told that they can't compensate and can only replace. That was not satisfactory and asked to speak to someone else. Told no one else to speak to and that there would be no compensation once again calling me a liar and said they knew the whole order was in the bag. Called another restaurant and they said they could do the same missing order for 10 minutes (and it was actually done in less)! Called back to cancel items not yet delivered and asked for credit for the missing items. Was told they could not do a credit and that they could only replace. What kind of business and customer...

If I'm being 100% Honest I had some really bad experiences with China Express 2 IN THE PAST. They USED to take 2 hours to deliver food or just completely forget, they USED to have the fakest tasting food you could imagine, they USED to deliver your food to you cold. YES, I'm very serious about all that myself and plenty of fellow friends and family agreed....Something must have happened in the past year, year and a half though, whether it was new management, ownership, or a new company with different quality food, but I SWEAR. The place that gave westernized chinese food a horrible name is now my #1 favorite spot in burlington, and I will only exclusively buy my chinese with them and no one else. They are not amazingly 7 star emerald meals, no westernized chinese food restaurant is, if you're looking for more authenticity in your chinese food try Zen Gardens or better yet, A Single Pebble (that is also if you're looking for at least a $60.00 meal between 2) but china express, in my opinion, definitely NOW takes the cake for Burlingtons quick chinese. They look kinda rinky dinky and especially if you compare their appearance to a place like Asian Bistro, but seriously guys, trust me when I say that compared to any other Chinese in Burlington or even the surrounding area, possibly even all of Northern Vermont...China Express is a true David vs Goliath and consistently...
