Food is good! View is good! Everything else is rotten, as in- they’re one of these places that refuses reservations. But, they’ll add you to a waitlist! We were told our wait would be 10-15 minutes tops, but it was over 45 minutes. There’s barely anywhere to stand around while you wait if you order a drink while waiting. The portions are small for what you get and for the price. You self serve half your meal, including placing your order, getting any water, some of your condiments, etc. The view, which is right on the lake (and gorgeous), barely made it worth staying to patronize once, but none in our party will ever go back under these conditions. And again, the food was good (although it’s also one of these places where they give you chips with your meal, you have to pay $8-10 for the fries appetizer to get fries), but the hassles made sure we won’t be back unfortunately. It’s outdoors, so the tables, and the lines to place orders are very close together so it’s noisy, crowded, there’s bugs flying around and you’re dealing with the elements- but most of that comes with the territory when...
Read moreWe walked up at dinner time. There was a line to order food and drinks, and no signs or anything, other than a menu that was very different from website with far fewer vegetarian options. We stood in line for about 10 minutes to order, and my 9yo was getting bored. A table emptied, and so he went to sit down. That's when we found out there's a separate list for tables, although how we were supposed to know that is beyond me, and that the wait for a table was 45 minutes. Why we would need to wait 45 minutes for a table when there isn't even service at said table is beyond me. When I asked how we were supposed to know to join the table list I was met with only a shrug. Thank goodness we hadn't ordered yet, so we were easily able to leave, go somewhere else on the water with better food options with a shorter wait and we didn't even have to stand in line again to order our own food and drinks. What a ridiculous system. Save yourself the time and hassle and go...
Read moreUpscale food truck with a permanent summer location under a big tent next to the marina. Finding it was a bit of a challenge; I had to walk around a municipal water building before finally seeing them. It was hot as hell out the day I went, but the staff offered me water while I waited for my dining companion to arrive, and was otherwise friendly and helpful. Tried a scallop ceviche, which looked different than most ceviches I’ve had, but was tasty all the same. Pork tacos were deliciously messy. The menu seems to change a lot, and it was tough to choose things to try since nearly everything looked good. Not just on the menu — I watched to see how items looked on adjoining tables. The food truck concept seems to work well for the owners, but I’d probably miss them in the winter if I lived locally. But for fair weather outdoor eating, I think this should be at the top of the list for Burlington...
