Not commenting the food, but share the 1st time online order & pick up customer experience.
there is no option to place an online order as a guest, or in the guest mode, have to register, which is less flexible and have to opt-in On the confirmation email, it mentioned 'Your order #xxxxx will be ready for pickup from Burlington Mall at 6:35pm. Track its progress online or in the sweetgreen app.' at 6:40PM, on the app, it showed completed. Also received an email 'Your order #xxxxx at Burlington Mall is getting the finishing touches and will be waiting in the pickup area soon.' -- I checked with the store stuff what does 'complete' means, who was not very friendly told me, 'it means it's been working on'! So this part confused me, if 'complete' mean 'working on it', what does 'prepare the order' means? Normally, 'complete' mean the customer can go pick up the order right?
The more I am very not happy with the experience is: there was a lady asked the same question (what does complete means) right after I asked. And she got her stuff within 5 mins. But I was standing in the store, waited until 6:55, when the staff gave me a sign and asked me came over, then she said, we are out of the chicken thigh, they didn't tell us earlier, etc., do you want to etc.' Why this can't be communicated with me easier? And I've waited for a long time after the order was 'complete'.
Made the online order just want to make things easier, especially during the covid, but the experience was really...
Read moreEDIT: I went back to this location due the convenience and the portions have improved, so I raised my 3 star review to a 4.
First time ever at a Sweetgreen, ordered a Crispy Rice Bowl and was hooked, except it didn't quite fill me up. However, I saw some reviews regarding issues with the portion size here, so tested it out a couple days later by ordering the same thing from the Lynnfield location. The portion was almost double the size of what I received in Burlington! Since I am regularly on the North Shore, I will be exclusively going to the Lynnfield location in the future unless something changes. It's just a bit too much money to not feel full at the end of my meal. Also, the other thing that bothered me is that there was a large line around 2:00 pm, and I counted literally 10 employees (not exaggerating, not even by 1) and only 2 of them were waiting on customers, including ringing them up. It was very inefficient, and frankly seemed insane to have 8 people standing around in the back while the 2 in the front were completely overwhelmed. Lynnfield had more people helping, and was more efficient at what's usually a busier time of day. So thanks to this location having excellent food (hence the 3 stars) I will be back regularly, just not to the one that happens...
Read moreWent there first time with friends for quick lunch. I was hoping for menu to be straight forward but nope… menu looked complicated so decided to try their elote bowl as it’s photo on the wall looked appetizing. As my order was getting prepared , I was surprised to see that it’s not even close to how they have advertised! .. seriously near powdered crushed tortilla chips..hardly any other visible ingredients except for that enormous bed of arugula. So I double checked with my server if he knows what I ordered and pointed out at the wall photo… he gave me that look! as if I am trying to get more …yikes. I ended up adding fish to my order. Taste? what can I say..all I could taste was arugula and vinaigrette with hint of goat cheese. fish was bland & not fresh at all. Mehhh taste. Small portion size (see the level of my order in the photo compared to the one advertised) with unbalanced amount of ingredients . I am sharing their website photo and the one we were served… Although , I saw army of staff there but the atmosphere lacks the positive vibes.. very unfriendly..it’s like “ you should know your order & don’t take long” I probably won’t go...
