Been here a few times before, and it’s always been a good experience. It’s a restored building in a vintage-looking part of downtown. The front has large windows, a couple of patio tables, and bright yellow mums that invite you to step inside. Once inside, it’s a big space with a chill vibe. The order counter is large, with a few seats and a good view into the barista area. There’s plenty of seating for different-sized groups, plus an elevated seating and stage area at the back.
It was late Monday afternoon, and there were only a couple of other people inside. I got a friendly greeting from the barista and help with my order. I went with my usual London Fog Tea Latte in a mug (little lavender, little vanilla, extra foam). I also wanted some bakery, but the only options were cookies and brownies, so I chose the Molasses Cookie. Along with that, I ordered a Peach Mango Refresher.
The beverages and cookie were good. The refresher was made with half coconut milk, which added some richness. The London Fog was decent, and the cookie was chewy and flavorful. It made for a very relaxing time, sitting on a sofa and reading a book.
On the way out, we browsed the small wine and grocery room off to the right. Lots of interesting spices, wines, vinegars, and gift ideas.
This is definitely a place I’ll...
Read moreI hosted my daughter bridal shower there on Sunday. I signed there contract I paid my deposit. 3 Weeks prior to the shower they reached out to me for the menu, which I had all picked out. According to the menu I received, the mimosas are $5 a glass. When I received my invoice to pay they are now $10 a glass and they tried to charge me separate for the orange juice. At no point did anyone let me know that they changed any prices or send me a new menu to review. Just send the invoice like it was no big deal that my bill was $100 more than I had planned. When asking them about it they refused to give me the price that they gave me originally. (contract did not state prices are subject to change. ) Then we get to the food, a small order says feeds 20-30 people. There were 19 people at the shower. It did not feed the 19 people that attended. Not sure how they get can feed up to 30 when then they don't even give you enough caprese skewers to feed 30 people. Also did the Charcuterie board, crackers were so hard. everyone maybe got 2 pieces of cheese , sausage and crackers. Could not possible feed up to 30. Salad was delicious but again just enough for everyone to just get a taste. Don't waste your money!!! or plan to order double what you think you will need. Also subject to price changing...
Read moreWe recently had a rehearsal dinner upstairs at The Coffee House. Everything was amazing. Everything was set up just as we had asked when we arrived to decorate. Tori was great and asked if we needed anything else set up and got us some extra serving dishes for our dessert table. The room was clean and set up perfectly. They kept checking on us while we decorated to see if we needed anything. Once our party started, they were very attentive. The food was amazing! We had the beef tips and delicious roasted veggies and potatoes. They kept a really good eye on the food and replenished the food as needed. They did a great job clearing the tables when we were finished eating. We had beer and wine in the room but our guests were able to go to the great bar if they wanted something else - very convenient! Bathrooms are great and close by. Highly recommend this venue for small...
