First off, the place was NOISY. For the small number of people there at the time, (there were like 6 tables full over the spread of three different rooms, including ours) the noise level seemed louder than necessary.

The food itself was really good. Our table ordered mango chicken fried rice, chicken pad thai, wild boar basil, duck panang curry, shumai, chicken satay, and ginger tea. The ginger tea was good, nice heat and sweetness. The chicken satay and shumai were also really good appetizers. The mango chicken fried rice was delicious, as was the chicken pad tai and the duck dish. The “boar”, however, was really just dry pork. Unless you are extremely fond of bamboo, and don’t have a problem with dry meat, don’t order this menu item- it also was kind of bland.

The weirdest things happened at the end. First, we asked to bag our leftover food, and the waiter proceeded to put the rice dish onto a plate full of leftover sauce that he was already holding, from a different table... it seemed pretty gross. Then, when the check came, it had an 18% tip automatically included on the bill. When asked, the waitress said that the tip was included for tables of 4 people and up- and we were a table of 4. This sounded quite strange.

All in all, it was a nice place to eat- very clean and pretty solid food. I...

Interior & Parking : This Thai restaurant interior feels like you are eating in your friend’s apartment dining room. No personality or decor whatsoever, if you are looking for a fancy ambiance, this is not a place for you. Decent parking outside…

Service The service is prompt and friendly. The servers are welcoming, seated us right away. They are also accommodating of your food preferences, we asked them to make our food spicy and they obliged to our request. The service is a bit speedy than I expected, the entrees were served before we finished the appetizers and soup.

Food Appetizers: Crispy puffs and Tod Mun both of them were good and flavorful. The Tom yum soup was pretty lackluster, have had better at different Thai restaurants.

Main Course Basil Pad Thai - it is a bit sweet, but delicious, portion size was large and the shrimps were large, chunky and delicious.

Red Thai Curry - very light and flavorful curry with loads of vegetables. This was a standout dish, the only complaint doesn’t come with rice ( you have to order it separately)

Basil fried rice - authentic flavors and very delicious.

The restaurant is not over the top expensive but not cheap either, for the prices they charge for the entrees, I would expect a bit more.

Overall great experience will...

Ended up leaving before we even ate anything. They were very pushy about us ordering our entree ASAP because they were soooo busy (there were 2 other parties in the restaurant) The waiter asked us to order every minute for the first 5 minutes we were there. We ordered an appetizer hoping this would slow his insistence down, when he asked us the 6th time what we were going to order for our entree, I told him that we would order after we finished our appetizer. (we had been in the restaurant 5 minutes at this point). Then, he sent another waitress / manager over to insist on us ordering our entree immediately. I couldn't believe it! I thought I was in the twilight zone. I worked in restaurants for years, so I get the other side, I have never experienced anything like this ever! I have 3 kids at home and don't get out much, so there was no way I was going to stay there so we decided to go elsewhere. They obviously didn't want our money. I could understand it if we had been there for longer than 5 minutes and there was a wait for tables or something. Very...

White Coconut Thai Restaurant is "Burlington's only Thai restaurant" and is closed on Monday's. They feature lunch priced items Tuesday-Friday from 1130a-230p. And, only open fir dinner on Saturday and Sunday. Food: I was in a hurry to go get last minute Thanksgiving items and ordered the Basil Pad Thai lunch portion. First bite was sweeter than anticipated. Spice was okay, but I'm picky. I like ghost, scorpion, and reaper peppers... 😆 Portion size was perfect. Timing: Fast! GREAT for large groups! PRO TIP Call in for pick up OR dine in. They delivery. If you like it really spicy just ask.
