Do not let the exterior fool you. This is some of the best Chinese Food I have had in the area! I'm not going to lie; the exterior is rough at best. But that in no way translates to the food you receive!

I ordered the General Tsao's chicken lunch special. It was $4.50. I paid a small up charge to add chicken to my fried rice, and a dollar to purchase an egg roll. The lunch also comes with soup of your choice, which was Egg Drop for me.

The amount of food I received for just over six dollars was ridiculous. It was enough to feed at least two people for lunch. The chicken was delicious and the breading had a good flavor. The rice had peas, carrots, and huge chucks of chicken mixed in, the egg drop soup was very good, and the huge bag of crisps to put in the soup was just right. Nothing bad to say about the food at all.

The woman who took my order and gave me my food was very nice and even cracked a few jokes toward herself when she realized she forgot to give me a spoon for my soup.

All in all, it was a great experience and a great lunch. I will definitely be going back to Golden City...

I went to this place tonight and I was VERY unsatisfied. I ordered the 6 crab cheese rangoons for $3.25. When I got home the food was room temperature, borderline cold. When I arrived at the window the lady is usually remotely friendly, but not tonight. She had an attitude like she just wanted me to pull through or like she didn’t want to deal with me. I ended calling back and asking why my 6 rangoons didn’t have any flavor. She made up several excuses and was short with me and slightly rude. She told me immediately that they never changed the recipe. She said there was ONLY cream cheese inside. I questioned this and asked why they were cold? Yet, again she was only trying to get me off of the phone. So needless to say I WILL NOT be going back to Golden City on S. I tried it for the first time tonight. The food was really good. And I'm not impressed easily. The worse party was trying to read the menu. I have good eyesight and it was still difficult to read. When I got my food I had to check the bag. It was so heavy I thought I got someone else's order. The General Tao chicken is on part with others I've had. Fried rice as well.
