I wanted to place a take-out order so I called three different times and each time I was placed on hold. The first two times I was placed on hold I was on hold for five minutes each time. When I finally called back the third time after four minutes of being on hold I was hung up on. So I decided to go into the restaurant and place a take out order. When I was directed to the end of the counter to the takeout lady, I mentioned that I had called three times and was hung up on the third time she stated “yeah we’re kind of busy, sometimes I wish I could just take the phone off the hook“. Mind you the restaurant was not busy and there was ample parking and seating. She finally had rudely asked me “what do you want?” I looked at her as she sighed so loudly I could hear it across the counter. I responded, “actually I think I’m going to take my business elsewhere. Your attitude and demeanor are very rude.” She looked at me and smirked and said “fine, have a nice day.” I’m not one to ask for a manager or anything like that because I have worked in the restaurant business for many years, but I couldn’t ignore how rude she was. When the manager came over and talked to me, I reiterated this scenario. She politely smiled and said “yes, sometimes were busy.” I replied “I understand, but that’s no excuse to be rude on the phone, or hang up on someone, or get an attitude with a guest.” The takeout lady interjected herself in the conversation that I was having with the manager, and once again stated that she wasn’t rude and that “she was just stating facts.” Once again, she was being argumentative. The manager did not apologize nor did the takeout lady. I have been there multiple times and I’ve had fantastic service there, including takeout orders, but I cannot ignore or condone, rude behavior, especially from an older adult. I’m so disappointed in today’s service at Starlite, reminds me of what it used to be...
Read moreGarbage service, bland food, torn seats
We walked in for my mother-in-law's birthday dinner and almost every chair. If not, every other chair is covered in duct tape and tears in the seats with as much money as this place supposedly makes. I don't understand why I have to sit on duct tape and cut open vinyl
My wife's leg was actually irritated from the tape sticking to her leg The food came out and was bland and almost cold. No flavor whatsoever Me and my wife got the fish and chips and it's supposed to be hand battered fish and you can tell that they are clearly just fish fillets. They're deep frying out of a bag. They are not hand dipped or anything like that and they had no flavor like even the batter didn't taste like anything
The french fries had no salt or pepper or anything on them. They were just plane and dry
My mother-in-law wanted to get the roast beef and when it came out she started eating it and she looked at both of us and said oh this is just not good She covered it in salt and pepper and just kind of dealt with it. I guess I told her not to but she did All in all it was disgusting
The waitress would come over to us, drop something and take off before we could ask her any questions It was so bad we left a $2 tip on a $45 bill My wife would try to ask her a question when she was dropping something off and she just turn around and walk away
Oh, and the entire time we had flies trying to land on our food, we had to cover our food with napkins in order for the flies not to land on it in the restaurant
Go somewhere else. The place is cheap, bland, rude and definitely not worth speaking...
Read moreRead moreWell. I usually buy the ham & cheese omelette special with hash brown potatoes and rye toast. I typically go through the drive through no dine in. The last two times I bought the ham & cheese omelette. The cooks at Starlite have not cooked my meal very good. My omelette was wet and runny and the hash brown potatoes were burned. Awful preparation of my food. And the rye toast was left in the toaster a bit too long. The higher food prices at $10.08. Dam. Now the menu price for ham & cheese omelette has shot up to $10.98. What gives. Less product = higher charge. Absolutely sickening. I've noticed the ham omelette is much smaller now. And they have the nerve to ask for tips or a tip jar. Especially at the drive thru window. The food should be prepared spot on period. Sorry to say this but the cook or cooks are rushing the orders which causes mistakes. Well they need to slow down. One more time if my food is runny and the hash browns are burned. Then I'm done buying any food at Starlite. I'll buy takeout elsewhere🥡... the cooks need to do a better job in preparing these meals. Just recently Starlite Diner has been closing earlier then normal at the drive thru. It used to be 12 midnight. Then I thought they close at 11pm. Nope closed. Unbelievable! I came out last night July 10 at 11:20pm.. no go.. then July 11 at 10:15pm same thing closed.. this place sucks.. 1 star ⭐️ out of 5 for quality, service and time speed to get the orders done and out to the customers. This Starlite has lost it's spark like it used to have before. Hope one day this Starlite gets shutdown...
