Only visited twice so far. Once for a meal and once for a take out pizza. The meal was good although a bit different for me coming from an Italian place, or what I expected is Italian. I had a flattened chicken breast that was battered with a side of rigatoni in sauce. This came with a small potato with asparagus. I actually had no real idea what I was getting, especially since the menu stated a side of pasta came with the dinner. I expected some pasta dish with chicken and potato some how all mixed up like your typical spaghetti and meatballs. So two separate starches surprised me when the plate came. I enjoyed the chicken, and the small bowl of pasta, the sauce was very tasty. The asparagus was crisp but delicate and I enjoyed that as well. The potato was odd to me but I still ate it. It's flavor was good but did not seem to line up with the rest of the meal. I also decided on desert which I regretted even more when I realized it was $7. It was a red velvet cake of individual proportion. Presentation seem nice as it was like a triple layer that went from red to pink to a lighter pink with a whip cream frosting in between each layer. The flavor was faint and the actual cake seemed a bit stale. They didn't have a cheese cake so. The pizza I ordered was their margarita style. I got it back to the the residence and it had all smeared to one side of the box as if I carried it like a suit case, total bummer. I tried to make the best of it but it was a mess. There was way more ingredients on this thing than I expected and it was quite heavy. The flavor was good but because of the mess, it wasn't very enjoyable. So I'll have to try it again and perhaps not get it to go. Just based on these two visits, I can't say much but I will say it is way better than Undo's in the Holiday inn down the street. Parking is limited in this small shopping complex and this place always seems to have a dinner crowd. It would be nice if there were some shops for window shopping after dinner, to stroll around to aid in digestion a bit but this is really the only place in this little section. So go for dinner...
Read morePretty disappointed in this place. Being from out of town, I researched several of the Italian restaurants before choosing this one. Looked like a great authentic Italian restaurant by all regards. Prices seemed fair looking at the menu online, only to find out the menu is outdated and our meals were all much more expensive after we waited to be seated. Not the biggest deal in the world though if the meal is good. I got chicken Alfredo and it was completely bland. I normally don’t put salt and pepper on my food, but I had to generously put salt and pepper on my meal twice, to give it enough flavor to eat. The chicken just tasted like it was grilled without any seasoning or oil, and I couldn’t taste even a hint of garlic in the alfredo. The rolls were tasty and the salad was good, but our entrees were disappointing to say the least. Because, I’m on a budget for vacation and the prices were significantly higher than what I was expecting, I opted to order a water. They brought out a bottle of water and I told them I’d be fine with just tap water, but my server told me they could only serve bottled water because of Covid even though they walked around refilling tea from a pitcher. Of course when the bill comes I was charged $3 for one bottle of water. If they would have let me known in advance I would have ordered something different. Between their menu prices posted online and the bottled water scam, I just felt that they are taking advantage and being greedy. $21 for a small portion of flavorless chicken alfredo is just too much in my opinion. The atmosphere is decent and the service was really good, but if you are in Weirton and looking for Italian food, I’d recommend you give one of the other places a chance instead. Olive Garden would be a far better option...
Read moreWe called ahead since reservations are not taken. We were told on the phone that a table would be ready for us upon arrival. However, when we arrived the restaurant was completely full as a large party of 20 had been seated. The restaurant's capacity is roughly 50 people at max. We spoke to a gentleman at the hostess stand who stated we would have the next table. He then disappeared for the next half hour. After 30 minutes we spoke up when a party who had arrived after us was seated. The hostess/manager stated that we were still on the call ahead list but hadn't been moved to the actual list as she wasn't informed of our arrival. We were finally sat after waiting roughly 40 minutes. However, after another 15 minutes our server had not come to our table to even get our drink order. We again voiced our need for service, and the server promptly came over. We placed our drink orders and meal orders without incident; however, due to the large party we didn't receive our food for about 45 minutes. I had the chicken, but the breast was the smallest one I have ever received at a restaurant as it was roughly 2X2 inches. The manager stated that she would pay for our dessert if we decided to partake. This is why I gave 2 stars instead of just one. We bypassed dessert since we had already been there over 2 hours. We do not plan...
