The experience here was pretty lousy from start to finish. We (just 2 of us) were sat at a 2 top in the bar area, and it took about 15 minutes before anyone even came up to us. Finally our server, Taylor, came up and apologized for the wait, then took our order. Coke for my friend, beer and a water for me, 2 orders of boneless wings and a Cajun chicken sammie with coleslaw. After a few minutes, Taylor arrived with the Coke. Several more minutes lapsed and I was finally greeted with my beer. Never got the water.
When the food came, we both noticed we didn’t have cutlery. I flagged Taylor and asked for some. She left, then delivered drinks and cups of sauce to another table, then completely disappeared for about 4 or 5 minutes. As we were looking around for her, she finally returned with cutlery.
The food was subpar. Boneless wings were lukewarm (maybe they cooled off while waiting for cutlery?) and the Cajun chicken sammie didn’t have and Cajun sauce. It tasted like a McDonald’s chicken sandwich with a 100% markup. Again, subpar.
Between the quality of the food, service, and the atmosphere, it’s safe to say I’ll probably just keep making the 45 minute drive to a Pittsburgh location that knows what...
Read moreWe were seated pretty quickly, and that is the only thing that went fast. My husband and I both got sandwiches he got a pop and I had a sweet tea. We literally waited an hour for our food while people that had another waiter and waitress who were seated after us got their food before ours. Our waiter never came to check on us, when our food finally arrived, I asked for another tea, which took 20 minutes because he kept forgetting to get it, I literally felt like he could've cared less about waiting on us or any of his tables. We actually had to ask for our bill. We literally were there for 2 hours all together! I love Primanti's just not this one. I'm just going to go to the one in Moon twp from now on. We were not the only ones that had a problem either, I never said anything to the manager cause it seemed he had his hands full fixing everyone else's because of their...
Read moreHonestly, I figured opening day would be the best time to give it a test drive. Boy, was I disappointed. Ordered the Pitts-burger (one of the more popular sandwiches). The coleslaw and tomato are supposed to be cold, I suppose, but the bread, the fries, and the burger were all cold or lukewarm at best. Absolutely no flavor, not even a hint of salt and pepper on any of it. Fries were limp.
Waitress and the hosts were friendly and helpful. No complaints there.
There are so many TVs and the music seemed to be at full volume, blasting emo hits of the early 2000s like Say Anything and AFI. I don’t dislike those bands, but not at full volume in a restaurant.
I’ve been to others, and was never particularly impressed, but I wanted to give it a shot, especially opening day. But even for a Primanti, it was extremely disappointing. I won’t be returning and I suggest you...
