I have been going here for about two years, since I moved into the area. For the past year, I have been using the mobile text feature. Usually when I come in, I go staright to the cashier (as long as no one is trying to pay at that moment). I have never waited in line, and noone has ever told me that I needed to.

This past Saturday, I go in and stand at the chasiwr, which is free, as I had been doing for the past year and everyone is buzzing past me. Finally after trying to pick up my order 3 times, one of the workers (male) tells me that I need to wait in line to pick up my order.

I explain to him that this makes no sense, because no one has ever told me that any other time that I have picked up my order and also because that would defeat the purpose of ordering in advance. He very rudely tells me that's the way it is and if I don't like it I can write about it on their Facebook page.

As I am speaking to another male employee, he tells the man not to talk to me and that I don't need to explain anything to me.

I don't appreciate how I was treated, nor the fact the after a year I was informed of some rule which may or may not be the case, since no one else has ever told me this before and I especially don't appreciate how when I asked to speak to a manager or the person in charge, I was told that there wasn't anyone there to help me.

I will no longer patronize and establishment that treats it's...

I started going here about 20 something years ago. At the time, I used to commute down route 23 every day, and this was that down home bagel spot, where you could also pick up some cannolis and Italian cookies for the guys at work. The breakfast sandwiches were always great here, the coffee always fresh and hot. And one of the best things about this place is that they are 24 hours, even after covid. Around the clock, there is a deli open, the grill is open, and you can get bagels at any hour of the day. Bagel selection is good, they have all of my favorites like the tye-dyed bagels, French toast, etc. Due to moving down to Warren County, I hadn't been here in 6 or 7 years. But last week, I found myself cruising up/down good old route 23, to look at a car up north. I was absolutely delighted to see that some things never change, especially this place. I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese with SPK on a hard roll. It was the best BEC I've had in a LONG time! The best part about it, is that the bacon was cooked to perfection. Extra crispy without me asking for it to be well done. It was spectacular. Basically this is the quintessential NJ bagel spot, and places like this are one of the reasons I love living around here. I can highly recommend this place, and they shouldn't...

Place was decent years ago. Now if you go in they keep doors open all spring and summer, not a big deal until you look at all the flies in the place landing everywhere. Buy a screen door it wouldn't be hard to fix. The health department should never let this place remain open. With that being said it does not get better when you look at customer service. Often I go here late and the guy working at that time is horrible. Extremely rude, started argument with me, my friend, and have watched him do this to many other customers. I have brought this up to the store and they have done NOTHING to resolve the issue. The worker has followed people outside trying to start arguments and probably fights. He should be fired. I always support local small buisnesses but in this case I would be happy to see the Quick check opening next door put them under. It's great that they are 24 hours but literally everything else about this place is horrible and disgusting. If I need food late at night I just go to the Mcdonalds nearby because it is cleaner and friendlier and recommend you do too. Oh and they are expensive as well for...

This place used to be much better. I am sad to say they are really going down hill and I won't be ordering from them any longer. The one guy who answers the phone (owner or worker? Not sure) is super rude and hangs up you and this happened on many occasions. I ordered a roast beef sandwich and I don't know how they could serve this to one of their customers. I noticed that the edges of the roast beef were extremely dry and hard and it had an off color, like brownish/grey and you can smell that the meat is spoiled. A person would be so sick if they ate this. So disappointed.

Updating my review to better reflect how they run the bagel shop now. It used to be great. The last 3 times I stopped in they burned my "toasted" bagel. They look at it and don't care giving it to you anyway. No one cared to fix it until this time when I told them it's the 3rd time. I also asked they don't cut it in half and they did anyway. I'll only go here in a pinch for plain bagels going forward.
