Kinnelon Bagels Deli & Cafe — Restaurant in Kinnelon

I just came to grab quick breakfast with my brother today at 12:02pm. Lady at the register with blonde hair , light skin took my order. She said what would you like I said can I please have a western omelette and small coffee with skim milk. She says “we don’t have skim milk whatever we have back there is all we have” with a really bad attitude. I said ok no problem. I felt her nasty attitude since she saw us. Then my brother was next he said can I have a chicken wrap with juice she replies “what juice? what do you mean” he asks do you have any natural juices” she says no again everything you see back there is what we have.” Again with bad attitude. We noticed her smiling at all the customers in front of us except us. I politely told her I don’t like the way I’m being treated right now I don’t appreciate the way you are talking to us. She sarcastically laughs and says what do you want me to tell you I’m sorry ok I’m sorry. I said you are being very sarcastic. She says you are not welcome here you can leave. She then calls a manager (guy) and he proceeds to finish my order. (She didn’t write anything down) so we have to repeat the order. I tell him what just happened she says “you are still going on” I said miss the way we were treated was not nice. Manager says shut up you guys. Once order is ready my brother goes to get the food she tells him “your sister is not welcome to this place ever again and you either”. This was a very terrible experience. Today, 12/26/24, at 12:32 pm was my very first time at this establishment. I was in the area and decided to grab a few sandwiches. The cafe is bigger inside than it appears on the outside. It has a decent sized sitting area that was almost full. It seems cozy enough…with the drinks to the right nicely lined against the wall. The cashier was a direct straight line from the door so I went there to pay after grabbing a cold iced tea. She is the reason I’m giving this place a low rating. She was NOT the least bit friendly (unlike the lovely young lady who took my order over the phone-strong spanish accent). Grant it, I was not very talkative-just had a tragic death in the family. However, I’m not in YOUR business to make YOU feel good. Quite the contrary. She didn’t even say thank you as she “air waved” my receipt towards me. I didn’t give her the time of day at that point because 1) if she was an owner, she should be ashamed 2) if she was a manager, she should be ashamed 3) if she was an employee who runs the front of the house, she should be ashamed and 4) her whacked out blonde whatever wig she had on was quite comparitive to her nasty attitude. I woke up craving diner food but I didn’t feel like driving far and no one was open to deliver so I decided to go to the bagel place up the street... I don’t particularly like bagels but I figured I can get a Taylor ham and cheese... when I walked in it was like walking into a memory of breakfast when I was little... it turns out it’s not just a bagel place... they have a grill... they have omelets... and everything else breakfast... I ordered home fries with 2 sunny side eggs and sausage patties... I asked the lady behind the counter to please make the eggs runny... she said I’ll tell them... and even tho she was wearing a mask I could tell she smiled cause she figured I like to scramble them with my home fries... I got home and literally inhaled my food... I fell into a mini sleep coma cause it was so... freaking... good! I wanna fast forward today just so I can go get...
