Quoting Genesis 1:29, "And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat." This biblical foundation echoes in every dish, emphasizing the connection between plant-based choices and well-being.
In times of struggle, the comforting words from Isaiah 27:5 resonate: "Let him take hold of my strength, that he may make peace with me; and he shall make peace with me." These promises affirm that in Christ, there is strength, victory in the conflict, and a refuge from the assaults of the wicked one.
As the words of inspiration from ML 316.1-316.4 remind us, Christ is our tower of strength. In the face of temptations, dangers, and challenges, trusting in the wisdom that comes from God ensures that the soul remains unshaken. This holistic approach, combining nourishment for the body and the soul, sets Roots apart as a haven where every aspect of your being is cared for.

Read moreI eat here a minimum of once a week! I’m very particular and they meet my needs when I make certain requests! Love the Jamaican flavors in the rice and peas and the coconut curry sauce. My favorite meals though are the burritos. Specifically the chickpea one, but if they don’t have the chickpea available the lentil burrito is just as good. The tahini sauce is the real star of the show. Fresh sweet and citric flavor with a creamy consistency! I’m so in love with this sauce it’s so addicting I ask for 2 every time.
I have also had their lasagna it’s very good, but a little too Smokey for me in flavor. My baby loves the spaghetti and meatballs. I have also tried it and I can’t believe they don’t have meat in them.
I didn’t like the Mac and cheese. It was very stiff and dry. The sautee collard greens are so perfect!!! My favorite juice there is the pineapple ginger.
My only issue is the chickpeas are not always available and the tahini sauce isn’t always available, but I’m a loyal customer and they have great choices when these are not available. I get the cilantro lime ranch when the tahini is available!
All in all, I trust that I can leave with a meal satisfied regardless of any conditions. Great customer service. I look forward to trying new things and broaden my pallet...
Read moreI wanted to give this a 5 before I even visited. Sadly, I've visited 3 times within 2 weeks and was disappointed each time. My disappointment is related to 2 things: 1) the service is poor. The woman, who I believe is the owner is uninviting. She treats you like she doesn't want you there and like everything is a hassle; 2) lack of items on the menu. When you ask for certain items, that should be on the menu that day they are either all out or in too much of a hurry to fix the more complicated items.
Because of the low resources (staff and food) and the less than desirable attitude, I haven't tried much there. What I did try, I liked: the burger and the fruit juices.
I really hope the owner gets some help. It's sad to have such a nice restaurant where there's a market for, but not enough help.
Oh, it also isn't good that they are closed Friday through Sundays. I may try again in a couple of months to see if anything has improved and if I can...
