Philly Italian Water Ice — Restaurant in Byron

Edit: 2nd visit here a couple days ago. The guy at the window was really nice, service was fast. We ordered 2 Whiz Steaks, braided pretzel with a cup of cheese, and a strawberry funnel cake. The sandwiches had some pretty decent flavor. We didn't get a braided pretzel it was a long double stick style with barely any salt after we had to request to add salt and we got no cheese dip. The funnel cake was over soaked in strawberry syrup wasn't crispy and barely any flavor in the actual funnel cake. We unloaded the food as we were pulling away so I could get the pretzel to snack on and my companion could eat the funnel cake. We realized the strawberry funnel cake had leaked all over one of the sandwiches. The pics are after we wiped down the outside hoping we caught it in time but It managed to get into the sandwich so it made a slightly strawberry flavored cheesesteak. Overall we'd go back for the the Whiz Steaks but nothing else that we got. First time here. Drive thru only when we went. We ordered the 2ft cheesesteak with extra cheese and the pretzel bites with dip supreme. Our wait took about 20-30 min which wasn't too bad from what I've seen on other reviews. The pretzel bites were not what we were expecting. It was more of a pretzel nacho. We thought it would be pretzels with dip on the side. The pretzels were really soggy from all the toppings. The shrimp on it however were really tasty. There was way too much sour cream. Wouldn't order it again. If it were just cheese it might've been ok. The cheesesteak had no discernable cheese on it at all so we paid for extra and it wasn't worth it. It was also extremely bland and dry. We added some salt, pepper, mayo, and more cheese once we got it home. And it was decent. Maybe if it was a reg size one it would've been better but don't plan on ordering the big one again. Hope to give them another chance cause we really love cheesesteaks, and I'm hoping it was...

YUM! 1,000 PERCENT RECOMMEND. I called in a to go order that my husband was picking up on his way home, from the start the customer service I received was the best around! The gentlemen (I wish I had his name) who took my order was nothing but friendly and polite and made sure to ask all the questions for customization so the order was perfect. I explained it was our first time trying out Philly Italian Water Ice and he was as excited as me! I told him I wanted to try everything and it's like Christmas with all this food. Ordered 2 cheese steaks, 2 cheddar pretzels, regular fry and a crab fry... if that wasn't enough I couldn't help but not order a funnel cake and boy am I embarrassed at the amount of food we ate tonight but no regrets because it was delicious, everything was incredible! We will definitely be returning customers. I've been looking for a good cheesesteak since I moved to GA from a northern state and man am I glad I've found this place! 4 years of being here and this is the cheesesteak I needed!!! Thank you for being so awesome!! Can't wait to try more menu items...

Customer service is 100% just as important as food presentation and taste. I will always rate high for great customer service. How you speak to someone is included in this. I made the mistake of ordering a rice bowl. On the sign it was hard to read and it looked like it was rice with veggies. As I was watching them make the bowl I saw her adding meat. Not knowing if that was mine or not, I asked if meat was on there and if mine could not have any. I could tell she was not happy with that. A minute or two later she comes and rudely tells me "everything served here comes with meat and that's how that is". Ok. I was done at that point and was going to cancel my order. However the order was already being prepped. Mind you I still paid $19 for that tiny bowl. There was no grace given, as misunderstandings happen, no willingness to be less condescending and use more kindness. There wasn't an offer to refund some of the money to accommodate what I did order. I love to support small businesses, being an owner myself, but situations like this make...
