The Sweet Shop — Restaurant in Cadillac

This shop is wonderful! I don't know why it took me so long to stop in. I was greeted, got to try a snowbird (which was yummy), and the whole place was just very welcoming and pleasant. My goal was to send Michigan fudge, which is the best kind, to my friend in Tennessee who'd never had any. Tragic, right? I had to fix that. I bought chocolate cherry, butterscotch caramel, and mint chocolate fudge. I also couldn't pass up sending along a box of bear claws (cashews, caramel, and milk chocolate), and at the register they had these lovely little caramels. So I bought more than I intended but it was so worth it! My friend and his dad LOVE everything! The cherry chocolate fudge was the favorite but the butterscotch was impressive as well. All of them delicious. The bear claws were delightful and the caramels were divine. My bestie has been raving about things since he opened his care package. My Father grew up in Cadillac. In the mid 1960's while visiting my Grandmother I was introduced to "Snowbirds" and my life changed. While in college in the 1970's I visited my Grandmother and she had box of "Snowbirds" waiting. At her funeral in 1994 we had to make a side trip to the Sweet Shop.
