First time for our party of four eating here yesterday (5:30pm Thurs 8/8/24). I read reviews before going, so I knew ahead of time they charge $1.50 for chips and salsa. We sat at a booth in the bar side. Our server asked us if we wanted chips and salsa without mentioning the charge for it - I hate getting a bill with charges I wasn't aware of. I was a server for years and never up-sold without telling customers of the charge at that time. It's a pet peeve of mine.
That being said, knowing we were being charged for chips actually kept us from pigging out on them and getting more baskets, so when our dinners came out, we were all actually able to enjoy and finish them without the usual bellyache.
The chips were crisp, and mild heat to the good quality salsa. Interesting white sauce came with the chips. Idk what it is, but the more I ate it, the more I liked it.
We got a pitcher of house margaritas on the rocks, and we all commented that there's definitely tequila in there! (That's a good thing 😉) And they were yummy!
We all enjoyed our entrees. Two of us got the Chili Verde with carnitas (pulled pork). I ordered it first, and the server commented, "Good choice." And it was! It was delicious, every bite of meat was tender, and the sauce was tasty! One of us decided on the Pollo al Diablo with our server's recommendation (chicken with mushroom and bacon in light cream sauce), and that was delicious! The last of got the veggie fajita, and she enjoyed it too.
The furnishings are beautiful, the atmosphere is pleasant, the food was delicious, and service was prompt.
The beans and rice were amazing! That's a great way to judge a Mexican restaurant or any restaurant - it's the seemingly little things. I agree with other reviewers on this: If you could give a little more rice and beans on the plate please🙏 😋 !
It's a HUGE menu, and there's so many more items I want to try! We'll be back soon!

Read moreToday we decided to give this place a try. Some of my family love the place. The restaurant is stunning! I absolutely love the decor! Upon checking out the menu you immediately realize the prices are quite high, so of course our expectations were as well. We started with the chips and salsa of course. The chips do look and taste store bought. The salsa was mid. I ordered the large bowl of queso. It did not have much flavor either, which is sad because a bowl is quite expensive. I decided to try the Ribeye with shrimp and veggies, despite the cost. I was really hoping it would be worth the treat. It came with rice, beans, and lettuce with the tiniest amount of guacamole and some pico, along with 3 flour tortillas. It was presented beautifully on a hot plate. First glance at the expensive Ribeye was disappointing. You could tell it was the cheapest, worst cut possible. It looked like one of those steaks they use meat glue on, and call it a steak. It was full of inedible gristle. It was very flavorless. The shrimp was good, and the rest a little lacking on seasoning. I feel like the beans and rice portion is lacking for the price as well. My dinner partner ordered the molcajete. It was also presented beautifully. It looked delicious. But he also complained about the gristle in the meat, and lack of flavor. Tortillas were not brought out with the food, but that's an honest mistake. Food for us both was around $85.⁰⁰ , plus a tip put us over $100., which I'd say is a little nuts, and definitely not a regular choice. I wish I could say it was worth it. If they serve a better quality, and quantity for cost of the food, they will make an amazing, beautiful and successful business. I do wish them the best. Maybe I'll try again in 6 months or a year, and adjust my review accordingly! The staff...
Read moreThis restaurant has very nice decor and looked great inside. The first thing the waitress asked is if we wanted chips and salsa which I agreed to. I assumed they were complimentary as I've never been to a Mexican restaurant that they weren't. I did notice later that they were charged on our bill. They should definitely let people know ahead of time, even though it was only $1.50. It's not like they asked if we wanted an appetizer and we chose chips and salsa. I ordered chicken fajitas and omitted the beans, lettuce, sour cream, guac, and whatever else was offered with it. I instead asked for some shredded cheese to go with it. My food came without it and I had to wait quite a bit for the waitress to come back so I could ask for it again. What I received was a pinch of cheese in one of those little plastic condiment containers that was barely enough for one fajita. We had already been there for quite some time so I just rationed it out between 2 of my fajitas with no complaint. When we got the bill I noticed they charged me twice for the cheese at $1.25 each. Considering the amount of stuff I omitted from my order and the amount of cheese they gave me, you'd think they would have just given it to me. The food was ok overall but nothing to write home about. I would probably try a different option the next...
